Role Description
We’re looking for someone to lead packaging strategy for our clients across a wide range of videos and content niches. This role involves developing strong thumbnail and title combinations and creating clear concept directions for designers to execute.
- Develop strong packaging concept directions (thumbnail + title) for client videos, exploring multiple angles per video
- Ensure thumbnail, title, and hook are aligned for maximum packaging impact
- Create thumbnail mockups using AI to visually communicate concept directions
- Collaborate with designers to clearly communicate concepts and creative direction
- Stay sharp on YouTube trends, algorithm shifts, and what's driving attention
- Work effectively across a wide range of YouTube niches, adapting strategy to different audiences and content styles
This is a contract role with real potential to grow into a full-time position for the right person.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of ideation or strategy work in the YouTube industry, or experience working for a channel or agency
- Proven track record working within the YouTube sector (essential)
- Strong understanding of YouTube packaging, metrics, and what makes content perform
- Sharp title writing skills with a clear understanding of how language drives clicks
- Strong knowledge of proven thumbnail formats and what consistently performs on YouTube
- Solid grasp of design fundamentals such as composition, visual hierarchy, contrast, and visual clarity
- Reliable, communicative, and comfortable working at a high pace remotely
- Based in the United States
- Freepik AI experience is a plus
- Figma experience is a plus
