Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Freelance Video Editor to join our remote team. This is a fully remote, project-based opportunity for an editor who specializes in creating modern, high-retention, social-first video content. You'll be responsible for transforming voice-over-driven scripts into engaging, visually compelling videos that maximize audience retention.

Responsibilities
- Edit high-retention, voice-over-driven videos with exceptional pacing and storytelling.
- Create engaging, modern edits using dynamic B-roll, motion graphics, transitions, zooms, and visual effects.
- Design compelling motion graphics, kinetic typography, and animated text sequences.
- Enhance videos using AI-powered editing tools, transitions, and video enhancement techniques where appropriate.
- Perform professional color correction and cinematic color grading.
- Deliver clean, polished audio with professional sound design, mixing, and balancing.
- Optimize videos for social media platforms including Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Collaborate with the creative team to ensure brand consistency and high production quality.
- Manage multiple projects while consistently meeting deadlines.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects (mandatory).
- Strong motion graphics and animation skills, including kinetic typography, animated text, and engaging visual effects.
- Proven experience creating heavily edited, high-retention content.
- Excellent storytelling, pacing, and editing instincts.
- Strong experience integrating B-roll, motion design, transitions, zooms, and other engagement-focused editing techniques.
- Professional color correction and color grading skills.
- Strong sound design and audio mixing capabilities.
- Experience creating content optimized for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and long-form YouTube videos.
- Experience using AI-powered editing and video enhancement tools to improve workflow and production quality.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Ability to consistently meet tight deadlines.
