Overview
Video Director and Client Experience Coach Jobs in San Diego, CA at Digital Champions
About Digital Champions
Digital Champions is a video marketing coaching company that helps home care agency owners build their brand, attract caregivers, and connect with families through authentic video content. Our flagship program, the Video Sales Accelerator (VSA), walks agency owners through a structured process of building a complete video content library – starting with their brand story and growing into educational and recruitment content.
We run on systems, AI tools, and a genuine belief that the right video can change how a business is perceived overnight.
The Role
We are looking for a Video Director and Delivery Coach to own the full client experience inside the VSA program – from the first call to the last video published.
This is the most important hire we are making right now.
Our clients are home care agency owners. Good people, busy people, and in most cases not natural performers. They signed up knowing they need to show up on camera and tell their story. Your job is to make that feel so straightforward that they forget they were ever nervous about it.
You will run all 24 coaching calls, direct recording sessions, keep the delivery process moving, and hold clients accountable to actually using the videos once they are published. The systems, templates, AI tools, and SOPs are already built. You are stepping into a working program and making it run better.
What the Program Looks Like
The VSA program spans 24 calls over 12 months. Here is the arc:
Call 1 – You lead the onboarding and Why interview. You walk the client through the program, get them set up, and interview them about their story and why they started the business. That interview becomes the foundation for the Why Video outline.
Call 2 – Record the Why Video. The outline is pre-built from Call 1. You direct the recording. This is the only hard deadline in the program – the Why Video gets recorded on Call 2, no exceptions.
Throughout – You help clients record their Caregiver Irresistible Offer video, up to 10 educational videos, and additional content as needed. Every published video goes through a distribution checklist to make sure it gets used.
Nick is not part of standard delivery. Clients may have access to bonus calls with Nick as a premium add-on, but day-to-day you are the person they work with. You own the relationship.
What You Will DoOn Calls
Lead all 24 VSA coaching calls including onboarding, recording sessions, and content planning
Direct clients through video outlines step by step – hook, problem, introduction, each content point
Coach clients in real time on camera presence – eye contact, conversational tone, pacing, energy
Hold the full thread of a recording session in your head so you know what was great, what to redo, and exactly where to pick back up
Help clients find and incorporate personal stories and client success stories into their educational content
Keep sessions moving without making clients feel rushed or pressured
Between Calls
Run post-call prompts in Claude to generate recap emails and video outlines from transcripts
Update client records in Google Docs and Notion after every session
Coordinate with the video editor through GoHighLevel once recordings are complete
Track distribution checklist completion for every published video – YouTube, website, social media, printed flyers, email list
Flag any client who is not completing their checklist or not showing up fully so Nick can follow up
What Success Looks Like
A client finishes the program with a full library of well-recorded, coherent videos that have been distributed across every channel available to them. Revisions are minimal because recordings were done right the first time. Clients leave calls feeling good about the work and confident about what comes next.
If a client is not using their videos, that is a problem. If a client is requesting excessive re-records, that is a problem. If a client is falling behind and you have not flagged it, that is a problem.
What We Are Looking For
The skill that matters most: You can watch and listen to someone perform simultaneously. You catch what was great, what fell flat, what was missing, and where to pick back up – all while keeping the person on the other side of the screen relaxed and confident. This is the job. Everything else is teachable.
You also need to genuinely enjoy storytelling. A big part of what makes this program work is helping home care agency owners find the human stories inside their content. If you love finding those moments, this role will not get old.
Who you probably are
You take care of yourself. You show up with genuine energy, not performed enthusiasm. People feel at ease around you without you trying to make that happen. You are curious, you get better every time you do something, and you tell the truth when something is not working. You are warm and calm on video calls. You follow the systems that exist and improve them over time. You are comfortable with AI tools and actively curious about how they change the work.
You are probably not the right fit if
You want creative control over content strategy
You get rattled when clients are nervous, resistant, or performing poorly
You are not actively curious about AI and how it changes the work
You are looking for a role where every day is unpredictable and unstructured
Strong plus
Background in video production, film, communications, or directing
Experience in a client-facing coaching or consulting role
Familiarity with the home care or senior care industry
Compensation
This role is structured as a flat rate per client rather than an hourly rate.
$3,000 per client for the full 24-call program.
You will start with one client. Prove yourself there and you will get more. There is no ceiling on how many clients you can carry — as the roster grows, so does your income. Five active clients is $15,000. Ten is $30,000. How fast you get there depends entirely on the quality of your work.
This starts part-time. The path to full-time is earned, not promised.
How to Apply
Skip the formal cover letter. Send a short note that tells us:
Why this role makes sense for you right now
One example of a time you helped someone feel comfortable doing something that made them nervous
What AI tools you currently use and how
If it looks like a fit, the next step is a conversation – not an interview. We want to see how you think and communicate, not how well you prepared answers.
A Note From Nick
I built this program from scratch and have been running every part of it myself. The systems work. Clients get results. But I cannot keep doing all of it and grow at the same time.
I am not looking for someone to just execute tasks. I am looking for someone who cares about the work, gets better every time they do it, and tells me honestly when something is not working.
The person I want on this team takes care of themselves, shows up with real energy, and makes clients feel like they are in good hands from the very first call.
If that sounds like you, let's talk.
