About The Role

We are seeking a creative and passionate Web Designer to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. This role requires an individual with a keen eye for visual strategy, user experience, and responsive design. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of professional experience creating innovative, responsive websites for diverse clients. You should be comfortable working closely with cross-functional teams—including creative directors, project managers, and developers—and presenting your ideas confidently to both internal teams and clients. Your expertise in translating high-level concepts into engaging, user-friendly designs will be essential to our success. While this position is remote, preference will be given to applicants located in the Southern New England area of the Northeast US, given our team's regional presence and occasional meetups. Please note that freelancers and contractors are not eligible for this role.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience in digital web design or related fields
  • Strong creative passion and enthusiasm for visual strategy and user experience
  • Impeccable attention to detail and aesthetic sensibility
  • Understanding of information architecture and ability to improve website usability
  • Knowledge of user experience best practices across various devices and platforms
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, or similar design tools
  • Willingness to learn new tools, techniques, and industry standards
  • Ability to accept and incorporate feedback from team members and clients
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Self-managed work ethic with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the Creative Director, Project Manager, and Development Team to understand project scope and requirements
  • Lead all phases of the design process, from initial concept and content strategy to wireframing, visual design, and final asset production
  • Create responsive, innovative, and user-centric web designs that align with project goals and client expectations
  • Participate in iterative design reviews, incorporating feedback to refine and improve solutions
  • Develop and maintain information architecture and site maps to enhance usability and navigation
  • Produce high-quality visual assets, including icons, images, and prototypes, optimized for web deployment
  • Communicate design ideas effectively to internal teams and clients, validating decisions through research and data as needed
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in web design
  • Promote adherence to design standards, guidelines, and best practices across the team
