At SoCreate, we’re building new ways for people to experience stories. We’re looking for highly detail-oriented, creatively driven people to help bring people’s stories to life on the SoCreate Storyteller platform.
This role is ideal for someone who genuinely loves movies and television and notices the small imperfections and details that annoy their friends when they point them out. You must understand what makes scenes emotionally impactful and enjoy spending focused time identifying where audio-visual experiences can be improved.
What You’ll Do
- Help ensure stories written and then published by SoCreate Members result in compelling audio-visual movie-like experiences
- Ensure visual and tonal consistency across scenes and characters
- Review scenes closely for continuity issues, inconsistencies, pacing problems, and immersion-breaking details
- Collaborate with the team to help improve our AI in areas like scene quality, emotional impact, and storytelling clarity
What We’re Looking For
- Extreme attention to detail and the ability to stay focused for long periods of time
- Creative instincts and a strong understanding of cinematic storytelling
- Passion for movies, television, and visual storytelling in general
- The drive and willingness to not give up until the outcome meets our extremely high standards
- Ability to recognize what makes a scene emotionally effective — and identify what feels “off.”
- Comfortable working at a computer in a production-focused environment for long periods of time
- Loves direct feedback and the opportunity to grow through direct feedback
- Strong written communication and organizational skills
- Ability to follow creative direction while also contributing ideas and improvements
- Interest in AI-generated media, filmmaking, editing, sound, or visual design
Bonus Skills
Not required, but helpful:
- Background in filmmaking, editing, photography, design, writing, or sound production
- Understanding of cinematic language, such as composition, pacing, tone, continuity, and mood
- Familiarity with story structure and character-driven storytelling
Why This Role Is Unique
You’ll help shape a new form of storytelling that audiences can watch and enjoy. This is a role for someone who cares deeply about the emotional and cinematic quality of scenes and wants to help push storytelling into the future.
