Knife Drop Studios, the production company behind celebrity chef and social media personality Nick DiGiovanni, is hiring a Sound Mixer to elevate the audio quality and overall production value of our longform content across YouTube and social platforms.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for a highly detail-oriented, technically skilled, and creative Sound Mixer with proven experience capturing and mixing audio professionally for YouTube and social media, ideally within fast-paced production environments. This role is perfect for someone who understands how important clean, immersive audio is to storytelling and knows how to mix dialogue, cooking sounds, and environments in a way that feels natural, dynamic, and engaging.
You should have 3–5+ years of professional sound mixing experience, with strong instincts for balancing dialogue, ambient sound, and natural cooking audio. You know how to make food sound as good as it looks, from sizzling pans to crisp bites, while ensuring dialogue is always clear and consistent.
Who you’ll work with
You’ll work closely with Nick DiGiovanni’s editors, producers, and the wider production team to ensure audio is mixed cleanly and consistently.
What you’ll bring to the team
- 3-5+ years of professional audio post-production / mixing experience for YouTube, social media, TV, or film
- Expert proficiency in audio mixing tools (Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, or similar)
- Strong ability to clean, enhance, and balance dialogue for clarity and consistency
- Experience mixing music, sound effects, and ambient audio into a cohesive, engaging final mix
- Ability to enhance cooking and food-related sounds to feel rich, dynamic, and satisfying
- Strong understanding of audio standards and optimization for YouTube and social platforms
- Experience collaborating with editors and producers in fast-paced creator or digital media environments
- Excellent attention to detail for audio consistency, levels, and overall polish
- Reliable availability and ability to maintain consistent quality and turnaround across a high-volume content pipeline
