We're a lean, fast-moving team solving a real problem in a growing niche — and we need a creative, consistent Social Media Manager to build our brand online and help us own our market.
This is a fully remote position open to candidates across South Africa.

We are a South African digital solutions company specialising in POPIA-compliant client portals and custom websites for accountants and FSPs. Our product helps professional service firms modernise their client-facing operations, reduce admin, and meet their compliance obligations. We are actively growing our client base nationally and this role is central to that growth.
Role Overview
As our Social Media Manager, you will own Zar Media Group's entire social presence. You will create and publish content that builds brand awareness, establishes credibility in the B2B accounting and financial services space, and supports our sales pipeline. You will report directly to the founders and have full creative ownership of the brand voice online.
Key Responsibilities
— Develop and execute a monthly content calendar across LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook
— Create written and visual content (posts, carousels, stories, reels) tailored to a professional B2B audience
— Grow our LinkedIn company page & Facebook following and engagement organically
— Write compelling copy that translates complex topics (POPIA, FICA, document management) into accessible, engaging content
— Monitor comments, messages, and mentions and engage with our audience daily
— Track and report on key metrics (reach, engagement, follower growth, lead referrals) monthly
— Stay current with social media trends and adapt content strategy accordingly
— Collaborate with the founders on campaign ideas, product launches, and outreach support content
Qualifications & Requirements
Essential:
— Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field(Optional)
— Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a social media management or digital marketing role
— Demonstrable experience managing LinkedIn for a B2B brand or professional services company
— Strong copywriting skills with the ability to write for a professional audience
— Proficiency in Canva or similar design tools
— Ability to work independently and manage your own deadlines remotely
— Strong understanding of LinkedIn's algorithm and content best practices
Advantageous:
— Experience in fintech, legal, accounting, or professional services content
— Knowledge of POPIA, FICA, or financial services compliance (we will train the right person)
— Experience with Meta Business Suite and LinkedIn Campaign Manager
— Basic video editing skills (Reels, short-form content)
— Understanding of SEO fundamentals and how social supports organic search
What Success Looks Like in This Role
Within 30 days — consistent posting schedule live, brand voice documented, first content calendar delivered
Within 60 days — measurable growth in LinkedIn page followers and post engagement
Within 90 days — social content actively contributing to inbound inquiries and pipeline awareness
