OVERVIEW
Mediabrands, an Omnicom Media company, is seeking an SVP, Investment & Creativity to join our Investment team, reporting to the SVP, Managing Director on a large financial services client.
The Investment team brings discipline and rigor – pressure‑testing every decision through a quantitative lens to drive performance, efficiency, effectiveness, and business impact. The SVP, Media Investment & Creativity role ensures that rigor translates into human resonance.
This leader brings a creatively-driven, human‑first lens to investment, ensuring media decisions are not only analytically sound, but emotionally relevant, culturally fluent, and authentically delivered, amplifying the creative strategy/messaging through media. They elevate investment thinking beyond demos and channels, grounding media ideas in real audience personas and lived experiences, and introducing additive integration concepts that enhance the plan.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of media experience with creative studios lean-in, preferably at a full-service agency with a track record of successfully driving offline and online investment strategies and running a sizeable, multi-discipline activation team
- Demonstrated experience in creatively extending media strategies into custom, unique opportunities and activations with key partners
- Demonstrated solid knowledge in buying techniques, audience, measurement, and modern technology such as clean rooms
- Authored strategic points of view, and presentations for senior executive clients
- Demonstrated ability to present to and advise C-suite clients, earning trust and authority
- Proven experience in driving innovation, thought leadership with enterprise partnerships, improving efficiencies, and productivity, and bringing first-to-market opportunities
- Strong people leader, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams, being strong in guiding teams through change and transformation, with an eye on talent development, capability building, and culture
- Strong project management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to take initiative in a challenging, fast-paced environment of multiple priorities
- Exhibits executive presence, a progressive mindset to drive transformation
- Creative problem solver with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Strong media advertising and marketing technology understanding
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing media ideas around audience personas, not just demographic targets
- Treating channels, partners, and creators as meaningful expressions of the brand to the audience
- Ensuring authenticity and relevance—not just scale and reach
- Aligning message and moment with intention
- Creating ideas that work with the media ecosystem and add value to the consumer experience
- Ensuring creativity earns attention and enhances how consumers experience the brand
