Job Summary
This role leads the hotel’s marketing and public relations efforts, owning brand presence and demand generation activities. Responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing, communications and partnership strategies, the role increases brand awareness, drives consideration and converts interest into bookings and revenue. It collaborates with internal teams to create compelling room, F&B and partnership offers; plans and delivers targeted campaigns across traditional, digital and social channels; launches timely promotions for key seasons and themes; and builds measurable networks of customers, influencers, media, trade and commercial partners. The role owns the annual marketing plan and budget, festive campaigns, social content and PR initiatives, and supports the General Manager and the Group Director of Sales & Marketing in adapting tactics to shifting market conditions. Success is measured by brand perception, campaign performance, timeliness and proactivity of execution, and contribution to business results.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the marketing and communication strategy & budget. Plan and manage its implementation by closely liaising with key stakeholders.
- Develop and handle the defined marketing and communication campaigns and subsequently evaluate the effectiveness of these campaigns through consistent reporting.
- Develop, manage and monitor the hotel’s social media channel communications.
- Oversee social media strategy, content planning, and community management to maintain strong online presence and engagement.
- Initiate, brief creative team, and supervises production of visual and video assets for advertising, collateral and public relations purposes.
- Monitor marketing activities of competitor hotels and trends within the industry, and social voices in the market.
- Prepare Q&As for media interviews and media crisis, supporting official spokesperson for the hotel when appropriate, pitching for positive publicity exposure.
- Expand direct network of media, influencers, celebrities, CSR partners, travel trade partners, OTAs, China channels etc, translating them into business-driving promotions.
- Create and organise press promotional activities for international, regional and local media and KOLs for publicity.
- Develop strategic brand partnerships with relevant brands in the luxury, lifestyle and arts and cultural world, travel trades and other resources within the Group.
- Ensure up-to-date, brand-appropriate web site content is available. Track Google Analytics results as input to calibrate content.
- Ensure news related information, photography, videography and press releases are updated and featured as appropriate for all audiences.
- To prepare annual expenditure proposal for all marketing and communications activities.
- To control all expenditure to be in line with hotel’s business activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of marketing and communications experience, ideally within upscale hotels.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in both oral and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
- Strong entrepreneurial business marketing mindset.
- Elegant and eloquent, hospitable and approachable to reflect well on the brand when communicating with peers, teams, clients, internal and external working partners.
- Proven solid work history with social media and various platform.
- Strong leadership and project management skills with attention to detail.
- Creative mindset with strategic thinking and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong sense of integrity.
