Senior Manager, Digital Marketing (DTC, Media, Content & Loyalty)

Job Description

Uni is seeking a Senior Manager, Digital Marketing to lead the brand's owned digital channels and drive growth across paid media, site merchandising, content, and customer loyalty. This is a pivotal role for a marketer who understands both the art and science of building a brand online — someone who can scale customer acquisition through high-performing paid channels, deliver a best-in-class experience on WeAreUni.com, and deepen relationships with existing customers through best-in-class CRM, email, and SMS programs.

The ideal candidate combines analytical rigor with strong creative instincts and a genuine passion for brand building. This role sits within Uni's digital team and works cohesively across functions to support traffic, content, conversion, and loyalty needs on WeAreUni.com as well as across our retail partners' sites including Ulta Beauty, Mecca, and Space NK. This person will work closely with the brand, creative, ecommerce, and operations teams to deliver cohesive, high-impact marketing across every owned touchpoint.

Key Responsibilities

Paid Digital Media & Performance Marketing

  • Own the paid digital media strategy and execution across Meta, TikTok, Google, and emerging platforms — driving customer acquisition, retargeting, and revenue growth
  • Own paid search strategy and execution across existing and emerging platforms to drive traffic
  • Comfortable building & scaling campaigns for growth, managing budgets, and trafficking assets hands-on across key platforms
  • Develop and execute creative testing frameworks to identify high-performing ad concepts across video, static, and format variations
  • Collaborate with the creative team and/or agency to translate brand campaigns and Uni's storytelling into effective paid media assets
  • Analyze and optimize campaign performance against key metrics including CAC, ROAS, conversion rate, and customer lifetime value
  • Identify opportunities to improve campaign efficiency, scale winning ads, and expand into new channels

DTC Site Merchandising & Conversion

  • Support the merchandising strategy for WeAreUni.com — including homepage, category pages, PDPs, and promotional placements — to maximize discoverability and conversion
  • Partner with the creative and brand teams to ensure site content, imagery, and storytelling reflect Uni's premium positioning and drive purchase
  • Identify and prioritize CRO opportunities through A/B testing, UX improvements, and funnel analysis
  • Manage the promotional and content calendar for the DTC site, coordinating with marketing and operations on launches, sales events, and seasonal moments
  • Monitor site performance metrics (conversion rate, AOV, bounce rate, add-to-cart rate) and develop actionable plans to improve them
  • Collaborate with the tech/dev team on site improvements, new feature rollouts, including payment formats and affiliates, and any platform changes that impact the shopping experience

Content Strategy & Analytics

  • Lead content strategy and analytics for owned digital channels — ensuring a consistent, on-brand voice and aesthetic across paid, email, SMS, and site while being maniacal around consistent analytics to optimize
  • Work closely with the influencer and creator team to brief on paid media content needs and ensure a steady pipeline of high-performing creative assets
  • Collaborate with the influencer team to repurpose creator and community content into scalable paid social and retention marketing assets
  • Partner with the influencer team to seamlessly integrate ShopMy and other affiliate and influencer programs — identifying and activating the best content for paid amplification
  • Stay ahead of emerging creative trends and platform opportunities to inform content direction across channels

Loyalty, CRM & Retention Marketing

  • Drive Uni's loyalty program strategy — developing a program architecture that rewards repeat purchase, deepens brand affinity, and drives long-term customer value
  • Lead email and SMS marketing end-to-end: strategy, segmentation, calendar, copywriting direction, and performance optimization
  • Build and manage automated flows and lifecycle campaigns — welcome series, post-purchase, win-back, replenishment, and VIP programs
  • Develop personalization strategies that deliver the right message to the right customer at the right time
  • Monitor retention metrics including repeat purchase rate, LTV, churn, and email/SMS engagement, and develop plans to continuously improve them

Campaign Planning & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work cohesively within Uni's digital team to align on strategy, share resources, and support needs across all digital touchpoints — from WeAreUni.com to retailer sites
  • Develop and manage an integrated marketing calendar that aligns paid media, content, email, and SMS across product launches, brand moments, and seasonal campaigns
  • Collaborate with retail partners (Ulta Beauty, Mecca, Space NK) to optimize traffic, content, and loyalty initiatives on their platforms — including brand pages, sponsored placements, and retailer CRM programs
  • Work with brand and creative teams to maintain consistency in storytelling across all digital touchpoints, both owned and retail
  • Manage and collaborate with external agencies as needed — briefing, overseeing, and holding partners accountable to deliver on paid media, content, and CRM strategies

Analytics & Reporting

  • Build and maintain regular reporting across paid media, site, email, SMS, and loyalty — tracking performance against revenue and growth targets
  • Generate insights and actionable recommendations to inform marketing investment and strategy
  • Use tools including Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, TikTok Ads Manager, Klaviyo (or equivalent), Shopify, and Google Analytics to monitor and optimize performance

Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of experience in digital marketing, with hands-on expertise across paid media, site merchandising, email/SMS, and content strategy
  • Proven track record of scaling customer acquisition through paid social and search, with strong command of Meta, TikTok, and Google
  • Platform experience across Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, and Google Ads — not solely reliant on agency execution
  • Experience owning DTC site merchandising and CRO — comfortable in Shopify and familiar with A/B testing tools (VWO, Optimizely, etc.)
  • Proficiency in email and SMS platforms — Klaviyo strongly preferred
  • Experience working cross-functionally with influencer and creator teams
  • Strong analytical skills — comfortable with CAC, ROAS, LTV, CVR, and retention metrics, and able to translate data into clear strategy
  • Experience in beauty, skincare, wellness, or premium consumer goods strongly preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment — highly proactive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented
