Senior Designer Jobs in Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at Tag
Position Summary

This role sits within a dedicated account team supporting a leading global consumer electronics brand on a high-volume CRM and digital communications programme spanning multiple Southeast Asian and Pacific markets.
We are looking for a Senior Designer with 8 to 12 years of experience who is as rigorous as they are creative. Someone who can absorb a complex brand design system, govern its application across a high-volume production environment, and maintain the quality of everything that leaves the studio under their watch. You will be the senior creative voice on the account, the person the team looks to for quality decisions, and the standard against which all output is measured. If you take genuine pride in the rigour of your craft, lead naturally through the quality of your work, and thrive in a production environment where consistency and precision matter as much as creativity, this role is for you.

Design System Governance
- Take full ownership of the design system within the studio, ensuring all templates, modules, and reusable components are correctly applied and consistently maintained across every touchpoint.
- Work within and govern the modular email template framework, understanding the distinction between globally governed components and locally editable areas, and ensuring the designer works within those boundaries correctly.
- Identify opportunities to evolve or improve the template and component library over time, raising recommendations that improve efficiency, consistency, or quality without compromising the established design system.

- Ensure design output is always production-ready and structured in a way that the HTML development team can build from directly, with no ambiguity around specifications, components, or market variations.
Production & Execution
- Contribute directly to the production pipeline alongside governance responsibilities, working on briefs at the same pace and volume as the wider team when required.
- Produce high-quality design work across the full range of CRM and digital communications output including EDMs, push notifications, in-app messaging visuals, and any associated campaign assets.
- Design within the constraints of the Adobe Campaign v8 email environment, understanding how design decisions translate into the platform and ensuring all creative output is compatible with the production workflow.
- Design responsively within Figma using the master component library, ensuring all assets are built correctly within the established component system and are ready for automation and handover without structural rework.
- Explore and integrate AI tools into your creative workflow where they improve the speed or quality of your output, staying curious about how emerging tools can support the account's production needs.
- Adapt and apply design across multiple market variations, maintaining visual consistency and brand integrity while accommodating market-specific content requirements.
- Maintain clean, well-organised design files throughout every project, including version control, correct naming conventions, and tidy handover packages that the HTML team.

- Read briefs critically and raise any questions around creative scope, design feasibility, or market requirements early.
- Manage your own workload across concurrent campaigns and markets, providing clear status updates and flagging capacity or quality risks early so the team can respond without surprises.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across different time zones, with enough autonomy that the creative workflow moves forward without constant follow-up.
Required Experience & Skills
- 8 to 12 years of professional graphic design experience, with a strong track record in digital and CRM communications.
- Experience within an agency, studio, or in-house marketing team serving consumer electronics or technology brands is a strong advantage.
- A portfolio that demonstrates senior-level design work across digital communications at volume, with clear evidence of design system governance, template management, and quality oversight across a multi-market or high-output environment.
- Solid proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Proficiency in Figma is essential, with the ability to design responsively within a master component library, contribute to automation through component-based workflows, and use Figma for design system documentation and governance.
- Exposure to AI-assisted design tools including Adobe Firefly, generative image, or automation is a strong advantage.

- Demonstrated ability to work across different creative formats and briefs with consistent quality, maintaining your craft whether you are designing an EDM, a push notification, or an in-app visual.
- A natural creative leader who leads through the quality of their work, the clarity of their feedback, and the standard they set for the people around them.
- Strong command of English for internal communication, briefing, and creative feedback across a multi-market, multi-timezone team environment.
- A diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field is an advantage, though equivalent professional experience and a strong portfolio will be considered equally.
