Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Social Media Content Creator role based in the Detroit Metropolitan Area. The Social Media Content Creator will plan, create, and publish engaging content across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook to showcase Rainbow Loom® products and community. Daily responsibilities include brainstorming concepts, filming and editing short-form videos, capturing product and lifestyle photos, and writing captions that reflect the brand voice. The role also involves community management tasks such as responding to comments and messages, engaging with user-generated content, and collaborating with fans and partners on features or campaigns. The Social Media Content Creator will track basic performance metrics, share insights with the team, and coordinate with product development and marketing to support launches, promotions, and brand storytelling.
Qualifications
- Proven skills in social media content creation, including short-form video filming and editing, basic photography, and writing engaging captions.
- Able to make long and short form videos; tutorial showing how to make bracelet, crochet, mural etc., Rainbow Loom product unboxing, and product reviews.
- Preferred DIY crafting experience, crochet or Rainbow Loom bracelet making.
- Experience planning and executing social media calendars and campaigns, with a strong sense of visual storytelling and brand voice.
- Comfort engaging with online communities, responding to comments and messages, and fostering a positive, inclusive environment.
- Basic understanding of social media analytics and platform best practices (e.g., TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts).
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines on-site.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and take direction while contributing original creative ideas.
- Experience with kids’ products, toys, crafts, or DIY content is a plus; familiarity with Rainbow Loom® or similar crafting communities is highly beneficial.
- Relevant education or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Film, Design, or a related field preferred.
