ABOUT THE ROLE
Mighty Engine is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Project Associate to help coordinate and support a wide array of mission-driven services to our clients that are primarily nonprofits, government entities and educational institutions in Philadelphia and beyond.
We’re looking for an excellent communicator who’s adept at organizing, someone we can envision overseeing the timely completion of agency work, ensuring the team continues to exceed expectations. The Project Associate will also play a direct role in the completion of services and deliverables through, for instance, research, copywriting and social media strategy, planning and execution.
The right person enjoys building relationships. Someone who is thoughtful, proactive, resourceful and at ease with juggling the demands of shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
This position is designed for professional development and promotion. The associate may begin in a supportive role, then transition to leading and coordinating projects as a senior manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Project Associate will support the team with project coordination, research, content development, social media, creative production and administrative tasks. Responsibilities may include:
- Scheduling meetings and preparing agendas, materials and follow-up notes, supporting client-team communications
- Taking clear notes, documenting decisions and tracking next steps
- Organizing project files, materials, timelines and deliverables
- Preparing project planners and organizing materials for team orientation and delivery
- Conducting and supporting market research
- Supporting social media strategy, planning, scheduling, reporting and content calendar updates
- Drafting and editing social media posts, ads, captions, emails, website copy and campaign materials, proofreading for accuracy, consistency and clarity
- Organizing creative assets, feedback and approvals for writers, designers and strategists
- Helping to source images for reports and design projects
- Reviewing designed materials and highlighting edits and feedback
- Communicating design direction and assisting with photo/video shoot logistics, including schedules, outreach, releases and onsite support
REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for someone willing to learn quickly to make their role immediately felt. The ideal candidate will have:
- Interest in public health, education, equity, nonprofits and community-centered communications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and shifting priorities
- Dependability, good judgment and strong follow-through
- Strong proofreading and editing abilities
- Interest in writing, storytelling, content creation and social media
- Comfort working collaboratively across strategy, creative, digital and production teams
- Ability to balance administrative responsibilities with creative support work
- Experience with videoshoots and editing a great plus
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, Slack, Dropbox and Canva and willingness to learn tools such as Trello, Loomly, Webflow or similar platforms
