So our editorial and content has to be the most considered, most credible, most envied in the category. Not close. The one. That's the job.
The opportunity
When clients join ArchiPro, they get more than a profile on the platform. They engage us to help them reach the audience we have built. We do that across digital publications, paid social and search, native, editorial, film, and increasingly through AI-assisted formats we are inventing as we go.
We are, for our clients, an in-house agency. The difference is that we own the audience the agency is reaching. That is a position no traditional agency can replicate, and it is one of the most defensible commercial advantages in our category.
The General Manager, Client Marketing, is the leader who owns this end-to-end. You are responsible for every newsletter, every ad, every campaign, every editorial association, every piece of film, and every performance dollar that ArchiPro deploys on a client's behalf. You set the standard for how we represent the brands, architects, designers, and builders who trust us with their story.
You are also responsible for inventing what comes next. The marketing products and revenue streams we offer clients should be evolving every quarter. AI is reshaping how briefs are taken, how campaigns are produced, how performance is optimised, and how stories are told. You will be expected to be ahead of that curve, not behind it.
What you will do
Lead the in-house agency/studio/publishing
- Own the full marketing offering ArchiPro provides to clients, digital publications, paid digital (Meta, Pinterest, search), native, editorial, film, and the new formats we will build together
- Set the quality standard for everything that goes out under our masthead. You do not personally proof every newsletter or ad, but you own the system that ensures every one of them meets the standard
- Build, mentor, and evolve a team of producers, marketers, performance specialists, and account leads who can scale with us across New Zealand and Australia
- Define the operating rhythm, how briefs come in, how work moves through the team, how outputs are reviewed, how performance is reported back to clients
Be the senior face to our most important clients
- Sit in front of the brands, architects, and builders who trust us with their marketing budget. Hear their story. Understand what they are trying to build. Translate that into work the ArchiPro team can execute brilliantly
- Work hand-in-hand with our editorial team to bring client stories to life in formats that genuinely earn the audience's attention
Drive performance
- Be ultimately accountable for whether the ads, campaigns, and editorials we run for clients actually reach the right people and drive the right outcomes
- Define the metrics that matter, the dashboards clients see, and the conversations we have with them about what is working and what is not
- Partner with our Performance Marketing and MarTech leads to make sure attribution, targeting, and optimisation are best-in-class
Invent new revenue streams
- Identify and build the new marketing products ArchiPro should be offering, branded series, sponsored editorial formats, audio, events, AI-assisted creative, anything that expands what we can do for clients
- Pilot, measure, package, and scale what works
- Sit on the leadership team's commercial conversations and help shape how the wider ArchiPro revenue model evolves over the next three years
Lead the AI shift in client marketing
- Reimagine how briefs are taken, with AI doing the heavy lifting
- Reimagine campaign production, using AI to ship faster, iterate more, and produce work that would previously have taken weeks
- Reimagine performance, AI agents running optimisation, audience analysis, and creative iteration in the loop
- Treat AI not as a feature you add at the end, but as the way the function is built
Who you are
This is a senior role and we expect you to come in with deep experience. The exact title you have held before matters less than the shape of your career.
- You have led a client-facing marketing function before — Likely as Head of Client Services with strong marketing capability, an MD or GM at an agency, a Head of Marketing or GM Marketing at a brand-led business, or a senior leader inside a media company that sells integrated marketing programs to brands
- This role is also well-suited to an **Editor-in-Chief, Managing Editor, or senior publishing leader** with genuine marketing flair, or to someone who has run a studio, production house, or magazine and understands what it takes to ship work commercially, daily, at a high standard.
- You have worked with many clients at once — You know how to scale quality across dozens of accounts, prioritise the relationships that matter, and run an operation where every client feels like the most important client
- You have a production and publishing instinct — You have come from media, agency, or in-house teams that ship daily — newsletters, campaigns, content, film, performance — at a pace traditional brand teams find uncomfortable
- You have operated at the intersection of brand and performance — You know how to build campaigns that are beautiful and that work. You can sit in a creative review and a performance dashboard review on the same day, and you raise the bar in both rooms
- You are genuinely interested in architecture, design, and the built environment — Direct experience working with the A&D community is a significant advantage. If you do not have it yet, your love for the category should be obvious in the first thirty seconds of a conversation
- You are an early adopter of AI in marketing workflows — You have personally experimented with AI for brief generation, creative production, performance optimisation, audience analysis, or any other meaningful part of the marketing stack. You are not waiting for someone to tell you what is possible
- You lead with judgement, not process — You can make calls quickly, defend them clearly, change them when the evidence changes, and bring a team along with you. You hire well, develop people, and are direct about performance
- You operate at GM level — You think commercially. You can hold your own with sales, finance, editorial, and product. You are comfortable being one of the most senior people in the room and bringing a team along with you

The General Manager, Client Marketing owns that experience end-to-end. You are responsible for everything marketing-related ArchiPro does for its clients in ANZ, the standard, the work, the performance, and the new products we will invent together. The work you do shapes how every brand, professional, and builder in our ANZ ecosystem experiences us. The standard you set is the standard the industry will hold us to.
This is not a role for someone looking to maintain. It is a role for someone who wants to build.
