Here is a breakdown of what you’ll be doing:
- Directly report to PR Manager for NET-A-PORTER and MR PORTER
- Provide tactical support in the daily management of the in-house PR & Event team for all designer and product related activities
- Promote NET-A-PORTER and MR PORTER for their exclusive collections, campaigns, activities and events to the media, general public and external audiences across APAC to the brands and the designers stocked are represented correctly and consistently across all target media along
- Develop strong contacts with media, stylists, fashion bloggers and influencers across APAC (Hong Kong, Australia, Singapore, Korea, Taiwan)
- Monitor brand placement, ensuring all communication and activity are on-brand
- Come up with creative ways to communicate brand story to media and pitch feature ideas and news stories
- Brainstorm and develop innovative themes and concepts for events
- Assist in exploring and identifying local opportunities with markets that align with the brand’s image and objectives
- Develop and execute PR and client events, including product launches, press day, style suite and work closely with Global PR & Events, Personal Shopping and Client Relations team
- Manage timelines, coordinate with vendors to create event materials, including invitations and promotional content
- Oversee all logistical aspects, including catering, transportation, equipment rentals, and event setups to ensure smooth operations
- Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and asses the success of events
- Manage all press loan call ins and image requests
- Oversee the APAC database management of press lists, new venues, vendors and PRs
- Update the APAC PR & Event team on relevant competitor activity within the APAC regions
The Type Of Person We Are Looking For
- Graduate (or equivalent) with proven PR & Event experience in a luxury fashion environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Chinese input method
- Excellent written and spoken English, Chinese and Mandarin
- Demonstrate understanding of the luxury fashion industry
- Proven commercial experience of working in a fast-paced environment
- Discreet, professional and well-spoken
- Extremely well-organised, methodical and efficient, with a good dose of common sense and initiative
- Pro-active and able to show initiative/ ideas to constantly promote the NET-A-PORTER offerings
- Creative and strategic thinker
- Strong presentation & superb writing skills
- Able to identify communication opportunities
- Strong MS Word skills; working knowledge of PowerPoint
- Connected, ideas driven and articulate with ability to problem solve and interpret fashion trends
- A mature professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, thinks on their feet, works well with a team and uses initiative, and provide quick and flexible responses and work under pressure
- Candidate with extensive experience may be considered for the position of Senior PR Executive
