The Role
We are looking for a highly detail-oriented Photo Editor & Database Coordinator to join our team. Your primary responsibility will be the high-quality isolation and processing of scanned images. This is an entry-level role perfect for someone with strong Photoshop skills who enjoys focused, process-driven work and maintaining high standards of digital organization.
You will handle raw scans of cards, ensuring each one is perfectly cropped, paired, and cataloged within an internal database.
Key Responsibilities
Image Processing
- Receive raw Epson scans (2-3 batches per week) and use Adobe Photoshop (or similar professional software) to isolate individual cards from the scan background.
Quality Control
- Ensure both the front and back of each card are isolated with high-quality edges, aligned, and tied together as a single cohesive record.
Database Management
- Upload processed images to a central database, ensuring each image is accurately mapped to the correct card profile.
Quality Assurance (QA)
- Review all scans for clarity and alignment. You will be responsible for relaying feedback to the in-house scanning team if a re-scan is required to meet quality standards.
Data Entry & Intake
- Perform administrative intake tasks and data entry to ensure inventory records match the digital files.
Photoshop Expert
Technical Skills & Qualifications
- High proficiency in Adobe Photoshop or professional-grade photo editing software is required. You must be comfortable with batch processing, masking, and high-quality cropping.
English Proficiency
- C1 level English (Advanced/Fluent) is required for clear communication with a US-based team.
Detail-Oriented
- You notice even the smallest inconsistencies and take pride in clean, precise work.
Communicative
- You are proactive about reporting issues with scan quality and can follow complex technical directions independently.
Reliable Infrastructure
- Must have a stable, high-speed internet connection capable of handling large image file transfers and a computer that can run Adobe Creative Suite smoothly.
Shift & Workflow
- This role operates on US Eastern Standard Time (EST).
- Scans are typically delivered in batches 2-3 times per week following in-house shipments.
- While the technical requirements are entry-level, the importance of accuracy and database integrity is high.
