Position: LMMS Expert
Type: Hourly contract
Compensation: $40 – $120/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
- Produce and document complete music projects within LMMS from concept to final master export.
- Demonstrate creative and technical decision-making across composition, sound design, arrangement, mixing, and mastering.
- Showcase hands-on expertise using LMMS across Linux, Mac, and Windows environments.
- Work across diverse genres including electronic, hip-hop, pop, game audio, experimental, or podcasts.
- Utilize and explain advanced LMMS capabilities such as MIDI sequencing, effects processing, plugins, automation, and troubleshooting.
- Communicate workflow decisions, challenges, and rationale through clear written and verbal updates.
- Provide insights and feedback to help refine AI models learning professional music production practices.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on expertise completing full music production projects using LMMS as the primary DAW.
- Strong understanding of sound design, mixing, and arrangement within LMMS.
- Proficiency running LMMS on Linux, Mac, or Windows.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to independently take projects from concept to final export.
- Experience working across multiple music genres and project types.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with detailed workflow documentation ability.
