Role Description
We are looking for a Junior Stylist (Independent Contractor) to work closely with the Creative Director and assist with the preparation and execution of styling projects across Auckland.
This role suits someone with a strong aesthetic eye, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
This role focuses on styling execution and project support rather than full interior design development. Most projects involve styling rental apartments, which may range from simple bedding and soft furnishing refreshes to full furnishing projects, depending on the property or client preference.
Responsibilities
- assisting with quote preparation and moodboards
- researching furniture and styling items for projects
- preparing styling visuals and sourcing product links
- visiting properties to inspect completed installations
- completing final styling adjustments
- photographing finished projects for listings and marketing
Projects are typically residential properties ranging from studio apartments to multi-bedroom units.
Ideal Candidate
- background or education in interior design, styling, or a related field
- strong aesthetic eye and attention to detail
- comfortable working with residential apartments and practical styling work
- able to meet deadlines and work efficiently across multiple projects
- reliable and organized with good communication skills
- comfortable visiting properties across Auckland
- able to work independently when required
- experience with moodboards, styling visuals, or design tools is beneficial but not essential.
Location
Applicants must be based in Auckland. Most projects are located in Auckland CBD and surrounding areas.
Contractor Arrangement
This role is offered on an independent contractor basis with project-based compensation.
Projects are assigned depending on project availability.
