Purpose
As a Junior Social Specialist, you will play an important role in the MBM Social Team as a key contributor to the planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of social media campaigns on behalf of MBM clients, with close support and guidance by a Social Media Director.
You will bring a keen understanding of social media platforms, effective social content and social buying tools to the role.
While relatively new to the industry, you will bring an eagerness to sharpen your media planning skills by leaning into hands-on experience with an open attitude and attention to results.
This role reports into a Social Media Director, with additional support and guidance from the Head of Social and the broader MBM team.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Account Management
- Attending client WIPs, briefings and other client meetings, as required
- Co-presenting responses to client briefs, alongside members of the MBM social team and/or MBM team
- Contributing to strong, positive client relationships
Social Strategy and Planning
- A key contributor across social implementation plans for your clients
- Using agency tools and industry resources to conduct research/gather insights to support the creation of social media plans
- Developing social media schedules to best deliver to campaign outcomes
- Maintaining content calendars for client campaigns and workstreams
- Working with key industry partners, and staying abreast of technology and platform developments on behalf of our clients
Content Creation & Optimisation
- Contribute to creative brainstorms
- Demonstrate a keen understanding of social content best practise
- Pro-actively search for new opportunities and new trends to leverage in content
- Copywriting that lifts the effectiveness of the content and respects a brand’s tone of voice
- Ensuring social assets are fit for purpose and will deliver on a client’s objectives
- Creating content for MBM’s own suite of social channels, as required
Community Management
- Daily conversation monitoring and moderating across content for our clients, and associated community spaces
- Responding to comments within agreed timeframes
- Copywriting/banter with the community to bring a client’s tone of voice to life through community management
- Leveraging sentiment tools to report on social sentiment toward client brands
- Monitor comments on content creator partner posts and respond where applicable
- Produce reports on community management results
Social Media Buying, Implementation, Reporting and Insights
- Setting up social media ads in platform to a high standard, aligning accurately with schedules and dispatch sheets
- Proficiency across relevant self-service systems including but not limited to; Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, LinkedIn
- Monitoring campaign performance during campaigns and optimising where required, and collating proof of live campaigns in format for both clients and internal teams
- Utilising Google Campaign Manager where required to create ad impression and click tags when activity should be tracked
- Creating campaign and KPI performance reports to be presented internally and to clients
Financial
- Accurately entering hours into timesheet system
General Duties & Responsibilities

- Support and help develop a positive workplace culture.
- Maintain accurate timesheet records.
- Support CSD in accurate forecasting of client portfolio.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Responsibly manage all business resources within accountability levels.
- Comply with all employment obligations.
- Promptly undertake to complete all reasonable and lawful instructions and directions given.
- Serve the business in good faith, promoting and protecting the business’s best interests.
- During work time, and such other times as may be reasonably required, dedicate all effort to the execution and fulfilment of the duties, responsibilities, obligations and instructions related to employment.
- Demonstrate through own actions a commitment to Health and Safety at work when undertaking work or observing others in the workplace.
- Support the MBM offline and digital team sharing social updates when required (i.e. Market Update).
- Add value to team effort in terms of intradepartmental cooperation
Social Media Experience
- 1+ years experience in a social media role
- Meta/TikTok/other Ads Manager experience
