Are you a recent Graphic Design graduate or at the beginning of your creative career? Do you have a passion for design, a great eye for detail, and a portfolio that shows your creativity and potential?
At Hodson Bay Group, we're looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to join our Marketing Team and help bring our brands to life across digital, print and on-property experiences.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across some of Ireland's leading hotel brands, including Hodson Bay Hotel, Galway Bay Hotel, Sheraton Athlone Hotel and Hyatt Centric Dublin, while also contributing to exciting group-wide projects and new ventures. You'll gain hands-on experience across a wide variety of marketing campaigns, events, promotions, guest communications, social media content, signage, and brand initiatives.
Working closely with our Group Content & Creative Manager, you'll be supported, mentored and encouraged to develop your skills in a fast-paced, creative environment where no two days are the same.
This role is ideal for someone with a recent qualification in Graphic Design or up to 1-2 years of experience who is eager to learn, grow and build a successful career in design and marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Design a wide range of marketing materials across print and digital channels.
Create social media graphics, digital & email assets, promotional materials and website graphics.
Assist with the creation of hotel brochures, menus, event collateral, signage and in-house communications.
Support marketing campaigns working closely with the marketing team including design, digital, social and PR.
Help maintain brand consistency across all customer touchpoints.
Prepare artwork files for print and digital production.
Proof designs carefully to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.
Assist with photography, video and creative content projects where required.
Liaise with external suppliers such as printers and signage providers.
Stay up to date with design trends and bring fresh ideas to the team.
Support wider Hodson Bay Group projects and new business ventures as required.
Essential Requirements
This role is designed for someone starting out in their design career. We are more interested in your creativity, attitude and willingness to learn than years of experience.
A qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communications or a related discipline.
A strong portfolio that showcases your creativity, design thinking and attention to detail.
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly: Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign.
Understanding of typography, layout and visual communication principles.
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Excellent attention to detail.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to take feedback constructively and continuously improve your work.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Desirable (But Not Essential)
Experience gained through internships, college projects or freelance work.
Basic knowledge of video editing, motion graphics or photography.
An interest in hospitality, travel, tourism or lifestyle brands.
