Job Overview
We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Retail Design Manager to lead the design and development of our premium showroom and retail store network. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional in-store experiences that reflect our brand identity while optimizing functionality, customer flow, and commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of retail showrooms and store concepts across the network
- Develop and maintain design guidelines, standards, and brand consistency for all retail spaces
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, merchandising, sales) to align design with business objectives
- Manage end-to-end design process: concept development, layout planning, 3D visualization, and construction documentation
- Oversee external consultants, architects, and contractors to ensure quality and timeline compliance
- Optimize customer journey, zoning, and product display strategies within stores
- Ensure all designs meet local regulations, safety standards, and sustainability considerations
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure design integrity
- Continuously research global retail trends, materials, and innovations to enhance store experience
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in retail design, preferably in furniture, interior, or building materials industry
- Strong portfolio showcasing retail/showroom design projects
- Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, or similar
- Strong understanding of materials, lighting, and spatial design for premium environments
- Experience working with contractors and managing project timelines
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to balance creativity with commercial awareness
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in premium/luxury retail brands
- Knowledge of visual merchandising principles
- Experience in multi-store or chain retail environments
- Familiarity with sustainability or green building practices
