Overview
The Head of Marketing is responsible for leading and integrating the company’s marketing functions to drive revenue growth, strengthen market positioning, and enhance the effectiveness of the sales organization through insight-led marketing, strategic storytelling, brand leadership, and commercial enablement.
The role oversees all core marketing disciplines, including:
- Data & Insights
- Media Strategy
- Design & Creative
- Brand & Communications
- Trade Marketing & Sales Enablement
The role is responsible for positioning the business as a market-leading, insight-driven Out-of-Home media company through the development of compelling commercial narratives, thought leadership, research, strategic marketing initiatives, and integrated sales support platforms.
The Head of Marketing acts as the central strategic marketing authority within the business — ensuring alignment between market intelligence, brand positioning, sales enablement, and commercial growth objectives.
Qualification & Experience
- Relevant Degree in Marketing, Media, Communications, Business, or related field
- Postgraduate qualification advantageous
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in marketing, media, strategy, or commercial leadership roles.
- Minimum 5 years’ management experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of media strategy, audience measurement, research, brand management, and sales enablement.
- Experience within media, advertising, OOH, or related industries is advantageous.
- Experience working across multiple markets or regions advantageous.
Roles and Responsibilities
Marketing Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and implement the company’s overall marketing and communications strategy aligned to commercial and business objectives.
- Lead and integrate all marketing disciplines into a cohesive, high-performing function.
- Translate business strategy, market trends, and commercial priorities into actionable marketing plans.
- Position the company as an insight-led leader within the OOH industry.
- Drive innovation in marketing approaches, audience solutions, and market positioning.
Data, Insights & Market Intelligence
- Oversee the development and application of audience, consumer, category, and market insights to support commercial growth.
- Ensure the business maintains a strong and credible data-led narrative in the market.
- Oversee the development of research studies, effectiveness reports, category insights, and industry thought leadership.
- Ensure alignment and consistency of measurement methodologies and insight frameworks across the business.
- Drive the use of insights to improve strategic selling and strengthen the company’s value proposition.
Strategy & Sales Enablement
- Oversee the development of high-quality media strategies, commercial narratives, and client solutions.
- Ensure the sales teams are equipped with relevant tools, presentations, collateral, insights, and market intelligence.
- Support major pitches, strategic client engagements, and new business opportunities.
- Ensure consistent strategic standards across all proposals and client-facing material.
- Drive insight-led and consultative selling practices across the organization.
Brand, Communications & Trade Marketing
- Lead the company’s brand positioning and ensure brand consistency across all platforms and communications.
- Oversee internal and external communications including PR, trade marketing, thought leadership, events, and industry engagement.
- Develop and implement marketing campaigns that strengthen market presence and client engagement.
- Manage relationships with industry bodies, media partners, agencies, and external stakeholders.
- Drive the company’s reputation as an innovative and premium OOH media owner.
Design & Creative Leadership
- Oversee the design and creative function to ensure high-quality, impactful, and commercially effective outputs.
- Ensure creative consistency across all marketing and sales material.
- Drive innovation in presentation standards, visual storytelling, and commercial communication.
Commercial & Revenue Support
- Partner closely with Sales, Operations, Business Intelligence, Development, and Executive Management to support revenue growth initiatives.
- Ensure marketing activities directly support client acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.
- Contribute to strategic account planning and key client engagements.
- Support the commercialization of new products, platforms, and partnerships.
Team Leadership & Capability Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary marketing team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and commercial orientation.
- Establish clear performance standards, KPIs, and development plans across the marketing function.
- Ensure effective collaboration between marketing, strategy, research, design, and sales teams.
Industry Leadership & Innovation
- Represent the company in industry associations, forums, conferences, and research initiatives.
- Contribute to the evolution of OOH measurement, research, and industry standards.
- Identify emerging trends, technologies, and opportunities relevant to the business.
- Drive innovation in audience solutions, digital transformation, and integrated marketing capabilities.
