Reethaus—a semi-subterranean performance space—is a cornerstone of the Flussbad campus. Envisioned as a modern-day temple, it integrates a 360-degree spatial sound system to support immersive installations, body-mind practices, creative expression, and holistic learning. As the campus expands, Reethaus sets the tone for a dynamic intersection of art, hospitality, and cultural innovation deeply inspired by Berlin’s creative spirit.
Aufgaben
As Front of House Host (w/m/d), you are the first point of contact for everyone entering Reethaus. You create a warm and professional welcome while ensuring that access is managed smoothly and events operate safely and efficiently.
The role combines hospitality with responsibility. You oversee guest arrivals, verify registrations, coordinate guest lists, and maintain an overview of capacity and access throughout each event. While you are not a security officer, you help create a safe, respectful, and well-organized environment by remaining attentive, approachable, and calm in every situation
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests, artists, and partners upon arrival.
- Manage guest lists, registrations, and event check-in.
- Verify tickets, invitations, and access permissions where applicable.
- Monitor venue capacity and coordinate entry throughout events.
- Act as the first point of contact for visitor questions and orientation.
- Work closely with Event Operations to ensure smooth event flow.
- Identify and address operational issues or inappropriate behaviour calmly and professionally, escalating when necessary.
- Help maintain a welcoming, respectful, and safe atmosphere that reflects Flussbad's values.
- Support opening and closing procedures at the entrance area.
Qualifikation
- Experience in hospitality, events, reception, guest services, or front-of-house operations.
- Friendly, confident, and professional in dealing with a wide variety of people.
- Calm under pressure with strong situational awareness.
- Well organized and comfortable managing guest lists and digital check-in systems.
- Strong communication skills in German and English.
- Reliable, attentive, and solution-oriented.
- Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and during cultural events.
