About the Role
We’re seeking a Director of Business Development with a proven background in live event production, experiential marketing, or related services to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a strategic, relationship‑driven sales professional who thrives in a dynamic, project‑based environment and has a track record of closing complex enterprise deals.
Responsibilities
- Prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities with enterprise‑level clients
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline through consultative selling and relationship management
- Partner cross‑functionally with production, creative, and operations teams to align solutions with client needs
- Represent Space Created at industry events, conferences, and client meetings
- Travel regularly to meet with clients and support live events (domestic & international)
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in live event production, experiential marketing, corporate events, or related fields
- 5+ years of experience in business development or sales within a B2B environment
Required Skills
- Demonstrated ability to exceed revenue targets and close complex deals
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strategic, client‑focused mindset with a passion for live event experiences
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed
Pay range and compensation package
Competitive compensation package including base salary, commission, and performance‑based incentives. Base salary $130K – $160K.
