Role Description

As the Director, Digital Advertising, you will own Growth99’s paid media strategy and execution across Google Ads and Meta (Facebook/Instagram), leading a global team of approximately 20 specialists and managers. This is a hands-on leadership role for a proven paid media operator who can scale performance, improve operational consistency, and deepen client outcomes in an SMB healthcare vertical – medspa experience is a strong plus. The role requires deep expertise in both Google and Meta Ads platforms.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing global paid media organization (managers and specialists), including hiring, onboarding, training, and career development.
  • Establish clear performance standards, role expectations, and accountability rhythms (1:1s, scorecards, performance reviews, and growth plans).
  • Build a culture of operational excellence, experimentation, and continuous improvement – balancing efficiency with the nuance required for local healthcare markets.

Paid Media Strategy & Performance Ownership

  • Own paid media strategy across Google Ads (Search, Display, Video/YouTube, Performance Max, etc.) and Meta Ads (lead gen and conversion-focused campaigns), ensuring strong fundamentals and adaptability to platform changes.
  • Drive a rigorous optimization and testing program (creative, audiences, offers, landing experiences, bidding, and structure) with clear decision rules for scaling and cutting.
  • Define and manage performance measurement standards (e.g., CPA, ROAS, conversion rate, CTR) and improve attribution and reporting discipline across the organization.

Operational Scalability & Quality Systems

  • Build scalable systems to deliver consistent results across a large account portfolio: playbooks, templates, QA checks, escalation paths, and standardized reporting.
  • Improve delivery efficiency through workflow design, automation (rules/scripts where appropriate), and smart use of platform tooling – without compromising compliance or quality.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for high-impact performance, compliance, or client relationship issues and drive root-cause resolution.

Client Outcomes & Cross-Functional Integration

  • Ensure paid media is tightly integrated with other service lines (SEO, content, web, creative) to deliver cohesive patient acquisition results.
  • Partner with leaders across the organization to align on positioning, offer strategy, creative production, landing page priorities, and conversion tracking.
  • Contribute to revenue growth by helping identify expansion opportunities where additional budget, channels, or services will improve outcomes (consultative, ROI-driven approach).

Healthcare/Medspa Advertising Excellence

  • Ensure team practices align with healthcare advertising considerations (platform policies, compliant messaging, sensitivity to before/after/testimonial usage, etc.).
  • Tailor strategy and communication to SMB practice owners – grounded in ROI, local market dynamics, and the reality that leads must translate into scheduled patients.

Candidate Requirements

  • Deep, hands-on mastery of Google Ads and Meta ads platforms (not just managing others), including campaign structure, optimization, and troubleshooting underperformance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and scale a team, with strong hiring, training, QA, and performance management systems.
  • Strong analytical and experimentation mindset; fluency in core paid media KPIs and practical attribution/reporting approaches.
  • Experience supporting SMB clients, ideally B2B2C service businesses in a healthcare vertical; medspa/elective healthcare experience strongly preferred.
  • Operational excellence: ability to standardize best practices, document playbooks, and drive consistent outcomes at scale.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to influence peers to deliver integrated results.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 9+ years of paid media/digital advertising experience, with 5+ years in a people-leadership role managing teams internationally and scaled client delivery (agency or multi-client environment strongly preferred).
