NYTSTND is a Columbus-built brand of handcrafted wireless charging stations made from real walnut, oak, maple, and full-grain leather. Our products have been called "the most beautiful charger ever made" by Forbes, Apple Insider, Mashable, and Cult of Mac. They're hand-built by Amish craftspeople in Ohio and shipped to homes where they don't get moved, don't get hidden, and don't get replaced. They become part of the room.
We are not an electronics company. We are a home goods company that happens to charge your phone.
We're hiring our first dedicated Digital Marketing Manager to help the world see us that way.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Our product is loved: 882 reviews at 4.84 stars, repeat customers, press features that most brands would kill for. Our digital marketing hasn't caught up. Right now we have 4,200 Instagram followers for a brand that belongs on every design-forward feed, Google Shopping ROAS of 3.5x carrying almost everything, 108 of our 109 Meta campaigns sitting idle, site conversion at 0.81% when it should be 2%+, and zero email program, no influencer program, no B2B/corporate-gifting motion.
You will walk in and find low-hanging fruit on every branch. This is a builder's role, not a maintainer's.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Brand and creative direction. Reposition NYTSTND in the home and lifestyle category, not the tech category. Develop the voice, visual language, photography direction. Make us feel like West Elm, not Best Buy.
Paid media that scales. Rebuild our Meta account from the ground up (prospecting, retargeting, retention). Optimize Google Shopping and Search. Test TikTok and Pinterest. Bring CPA down, ROAS up.
Social and influencer. Grow a real organic presence. Partner with creators in interior design, home styling, lifestyle, and American-craft storytelling. Grow IG to 25K in year one.
Email and lifecycle. Stand up Klaviyo from scratch — welcome flows, abandoned cart, post-purchase, win-back, VIP. Target email at 25%+ of revenue within 12 months.
B2B and corporate gifting. Build a new revenue line selling NYTSTND as the executive gift no one returns. This is greenfield.
The numbers. Own a monthly dashboard. Know your CAC, LTV, ROAS, MER, conversion rate, email revenue share, follower growth cold. Report to the founder weekly.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You don't need every box checked. You do need most of them.
Five plus years in digital marketing, ideally for a DTC brand in home, lifestyle, design, beauty, or fashion (electronics experience is fine but not required — we'd actually prefer the former).
You've personally run paid media on Meta and Google — not just briefed an agency. You read the dashboards yourself.
You've built or scaled a Klaviyo program before.
You have taste. You can look at a product photo and say what's wrong with it. You can write a caption that sounds like a person, not a brand.
You think in stories, not just funnels.
You're a small-team operator. You can strategize, execute, hire freelancers when needed, and ship without a five-person team behind you.
Bonus: experience with influencer outreach, UGC programs, B2B sales, or American-made / heritage / craft brands.
WHAT WE OFFER
$90,000–$120,000 base depending on experience, plus quarterly profit sharing tied to company performance. Equity-style upside discussions open for the right person — this is a founding marketing hire. Hybrid Columbus (2–3 days in office); we'll discuss fully remote for an exceptional candidate. Creative ownership — you will not be the seventh marketer in a stack of dotted-line approvals. You will be the marketer, working directly with the founder. Beautiful product, real customers, honest reviews. The kind of brand where the marketing doesn't have to lie.
