Designer / Brand & UI Jobs in United States at Insure Gear
Company Description Insure Gear is transforming how people in the United States shop for insurance by replacing slow, confusing, and costly processes with a fast, transparent, and user-friendly experience. The company’s AI scans the market in seconds, enabling users to switch providers in minutes and potentially save thousands of dollars. Insure Gear focuses on delivering better rates, better coverage, and better service without phone calls, hidden details, or biased recommendations. The team is committed to making quality insurance more accessible and equitable for people across the country.
Role Description This is a remote internship role for a Designer / Brand & UI at Insure Gear. The intern will support the design and refinement of the brand identity across digital touchpoints, including marketing assets, social media, and product interfaces. Day-to-day tasks include creating visual concepts and layouts, designing UI components, preparing graphics and illustrations, and maintaining consistency with brand guidelines. The intern will collaborate with product, marketing, and engineering teammates to translate complex insurance concepts into clear, engaging visuals and user flows. The role also involves participating in design reviews, iterating based on feedback, and contributing to a modern, trustworthy, and inclusive visual language for the brand.
Perceived quality is conversion. Stripe-quality polish converts at 2–3× the rate of generic-looking products. Your job is to make Insuregear look as polished as Stripe, Linear, or Apple across every touchpoint a user sees.
What you'll do
- Design ad creative for paid acquisition: 4–6 variants per campaign (Meta + Google), refreshed every two weeks.
- Build out the App Store and Google Play listing assets — icons (1024×1024), screenshot frames, splash images.
- Refine and document the design system in Figma so engineers can implement consistently across web and mobile.
- Polish the Fit Finder results page and the account dashboard.
- Create assets for blog posts, social media, and the marketing team's content calendar.
What we're looking for
- Strong Figma skills and a portfolio that shows real consumer-product work (not just dribbble concepts).
- Excellent visual hierarchy, restraint, and typography sensibility.
- Familiarity with iOS Human Interface Guidelines and Material 3.
- Self-direction — you take a brief, ship a first pass within 48 hours, iterate from feedback.
- Bonus: motion design (Lottie, After Effects), illustration, brand-identity systems.
- 5+ ad creative sets shipped to live paid campaigns.
- App Store and Play Store listings ready to submit, including all required screenshots and copy.
- A polished and documented design system in Figma that engineering can implement from.
Compensation
Unpaid internship with portfolio rights to all your work and a recommendation letter. Realistically, top design talent is best engaged as a paid contractor — and we will move strong performers to that arrangement within 30 days if the chemistry works. Apply if you want a high-visibility portfolio piece and direct feedback from the founder.
