The Opportunity
We're hiring a Design Assistant to join a fast-paced digital media agency managing high-volume paid media creative across display, programmatic, and social advertising platforms — someone who is fast, detail-obsessed, and highly comfortable working within existing creative direction and platform specifications to produce clean, polished static ad assets at scale. The core of this role is production: designing, resizing, versioning, and revising digital display and paid social assets across multiple specs and placements with accuracy and consistency — with occasional support for brand graphics, presentation decks, website banners, and light motion needs as capacity allows.
What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like
- Ad Asset Production: Design static digital display ads and paid social assets for various advertising platforms; resize, version, and adapt existing creative across multiple specs, dimensions, and placements to meet campaign requirements
- Creative Revisions & QA: Make quick edits to ad creative based on internal, client, or platform feedback; ensure all final assets meet required specs, dimensions, file sizes, and export standards before delivery
- Campaign Consistency: Maintain visual consistency across campaign asset sets — including typography, layout, image treatment, and message hierarchy — across all versions and sizes within a given request
- Rush & Overflow Support: Work efficiently within standard and rush turnaround windows; support late-day creative needs and overflow work from the broader design team as volume demands
- Collateral & Brand Support: Occasionally support internal brand design needs such as website banners, basic digital graphics, and other campaign-adjacent assets; provide light support for presentation graphics and deck polish as needed
What You Bring
- Digital Ad Design Experience: Proven experience designing digital display ads, paid social assets, or other performance media creative — with strong production design skills including resizing, adapting layouts, and preparing final exports
- Adobe Suite Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator; comfortable working across the broader Adobe Creative Suite for production-level design work
- Attention to Detail: Exceptionally detail-oriented across copy accuracy, spec compliance, sizing, alignment, image quality, and export precision — you catch errors before they reach the client
- Speed & Execution: Ability to work quickly while maintaining quality; comfortable managing multiple assets or versions within a single request and delivering under both standard and rush timelines
- Clear Communication: Proactive and clear in communicating status, flagging missing information, and surfacing timing concerns — you don't let ambiguity slow down delivery
Bonus Points if:
- You have experience with programmatic ad specs and common paid media placements
- You have experience with Adobe Express, Canva, or similar collaborative design tools
- You're comfortable working in PowerPoint or Google Slides for presentation support
- You have light video editing or simple motion graphics skills
- You have experience working in a fast-paced agency, media, campaign, or client service environment
