Position Type: Temporary Contract (12-Month Assignment, with potential to extend)
Pay Rate: $47.88 – $51.57 / hour (Equivalent to ~$100k base ballpark)

Position Overview
Are you a seasoned communications professional who thrives at the intersection of business strategy and technical innovation? We are seeking a highly autonomous Creative Specialist for Global Internal Communications to support our Global R&D and Global Engineering divisions.
In this role, you will embed with senior leadership, reporting directly to the Chief of Staff (within the office of the SVP of Global Engineering) with a dotted line to the Director of Enterprise Communications. You will act as the critical bridge between complex engineering milestones and high-level corporate messaging, transforming technical data into compelling, executive-ready presentations and communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Executive Ghostwriting & Presentation Design: Attend executive-level meetings to extract core themes, distilling complex technical initiatives into clear, impactful executive summaries, announcements, and presentations.
- Strategic Message Alignment: Ensure all R&D and Engineering communications align seamlessly with broader enterprise messaging and branding guidelines.
- Content Creation: Utilize data and technical milestones to craft engaging narratives for internal audiences across the global engineering footprint.
- Independent Project Management: Drive communication initiatives from conception to execution with minimal oversight, managing timelines and stakeholders proactively.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of dedicated professional experience in a corporate communications or internal communications role.
- Industry Background: Prior experience working within an R&D, software development, or highly technical engineering environment is strongly preferred. You must possess the technical acumen to converse comfortably with engineers and technical leaders.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional maturity, discretion, and autonomy. You are comfortable sitting at the table with C-suite executives and can operate confidently without hand-holding.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced, expert-level proficiency in Microsoft 365—specifically PowerPoint and Word—with a proven ability to design visually stunning, data-driven executive decks.
- Familiarity with standard business tools. While the broader engineering team operates in Jira and Jama, your day-to-day work will be focused on standard communications suites.
Location & Work Dynamics
- Primary Preference: Local to Framingham, MA for an on-site/hybrid arrangement. In-person interviews are highly preferred for local candidates.
- Fallback Option: Exceptional candidates residing in the Eastern Time Zone (EST) who require a remote arrangement will be considered if local talent pools are limited.
