Role Description The Creative AI Animation Artist will design and produce animations that bring novel locations, characters, and story moments to life within the WalkingWords app. Day-to-day tasks include developing visual concepts, creating AI-assisted animations, refining 2D and 3D character and environment animations, and collaborating with authors, designers, and developers to align visuals with story content. The role involves creates visual concepts and storyboards, experimenting with creative AI tools for animation workflows, and optimizing assets for use in interactive and immersive experiences. This is a full-time, requiring close collaboration with the local team to iterate quickly on visual storytelling ideas and app features. Location of the company is the lovely area of lake of constance, however the location of the Creative animation Artist can be anywhere on our lovely planet.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Animation using today and tomorrow technologies, with the ability to convey emotion and narrative through movement.
- Experience with Storyboards and understanding to visuals an authors vision from visuals to storytelling sequences.
- Proficiency in 3D Animation, including working with 3D characters, environments, and camera movements.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted animation tools and workflows, or strong interest in learning and applying creative AI in production.
- Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team and translate narrative concepts into compelling visual experiences.
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant education or equivalent practical experience in animation, media design, visual arts, or a related field.
- Interest in literature, storytelling, and immersive digital experiences is highly beneficial.
