Internal Communications Manager
Our tech client is seeking a contractor to be responsible for shaping and executing internal communications for Product and Fleet Operations teams. This role partners closely with senior leaders to deliver clear, engaging, and aligned messaging that supports business priorities and keeps employees informed across the organization. A significant focus of this role is leading internal rider communications, ensuring employees understand, adopt, and provide feedback on internal ridership programs across all markets.
The Basics
Duration: 6 months
Hours: Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week
Location: Foster City, CA
Top 3 Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in internal communications, copywriting, or related roles, with demonstrated success delivering complex information clearly and effectively
- Proven experience managing communication programs or campaigns end-to-end, including strategy, execution, and stakeholder alignment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize technical or operational content into engaging employee-facing messaging
Other Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience
- Strong project and program management skills with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive initiatives
- Experience collaborating with senior leaders and cross-functional partners
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Experience in mobility, ride-hail, or highly technical environments preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Manage communication strategy and execution for Product and Fleet Operations organizations
- Partner with senior leaders to develop and deliver strategic internal communications plans
- Own internal ridership communications strategy, ensuring clarity, engagement, and adoption across all markets
- Lead internal rider campaigns end-to-end, including project timelines, executive reviews, and content development
- Develop rider instructions, FAQs, and content for intranet, all-hands meetings, newsletters, Slack, and other internal channels
- Translate complex product and operational updates into engaging and accessible messaging
- Reinforce feedback loops, celebrate program milestones, and recognize employee contributions
- Partner with Program Management, Policy, Legal, Product, Engineering, and Research teams to ensure alignment on rider program goals and success metrics
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
