Role Overview

We are seeking a high-caliber Brand Manager to join our team in Malaysia. As a key member of the Pattern family, you will be responsible for driving the holistic growth of our brand portfolio across the Singapore (SG) and Malaysia (MY) markets.

This is an omnichannel role that requires a leader who can seamlessly integrate digital marketplace excellence with offline retail strategies. You will own the end-to-end brand P&L, consumer journey, and go-to-market strategy across key platforms including Amazon SG, Shopee, Lazada, as well as offline B2B and retail channels.

Key Responsibilities

1. Omnichannel Brand Strategy

  • Develop and execute comprehensive brand strategies for the SG and MY markets, ensuring consistent brand positioning, messaging, and identity across all consumer touchpoints.
  • Own the brand P&L, driving sales growth, market share, and profitability across both online and offline channels.
  • Lead go-to-market strategies for new product launches, seasonal campaigns, and brand initiatives.

2. Ecommerce & Marketplace Management

  • Drive performance across Amazon SG, Shopee, and Lazada, optimizing listings, advertising (AMS, Shopee Ads, Lazada Sponsored Solutions), and campaign execution.
  • Manage marketplace operations including assortment planning, inventory forecasting, and promotional calendars (9.9, 10.10, 11.11, 12.12, Prime Day).
  • Monitor marketplace health metrics and ensure compliance with platform policies.

3. Offline & B2B Channel Development

  • Identify and develop offline distribution opportunities, including key accounts, specialty retailers, distributors, and wholesale partnerships across Malaysia and Singapore.
  • Build and nurture relationships with offline retail partners to expand brand presence and drive incremental revenue.
  • Develop trade marketing strategies, in-store merchandising, and promotional programs tailored to offline channels.

4. Digital Marketing & Consumer Engagement

  • Oversee the integrated marketing budget, allocating investment effectively across digital, social, and trade channels to maximize ROI/ ROAs.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to develop compelling assets that resonate with local cultural nuances in both SG and MY.
  • Drive consumer insights through data analysis, conducting regular competitor and category analysis to identify growth opportunities.

5. Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Work closely with supply chain and operations teams to ensure optimal inventory levels across all channels.
  • Partner with global brand teams to align local execution with global brand guidelines.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of brand management, marketing, or ecommerce experience with direct responsibility for Singapore and Malaysia markets.
  • Ecommerce Expertise: Proven track record managing Amazon SG, Shopee, and Lazada with a strong understanding of marketplace dynamics.
  • Omnichannel Mindset: Experience managing or collaborating on offline retail, B2B, or distribution channels.
  • Localized Knowledge: Deep understanding of consumer behavior, cultural nuances, and retail landscapes in both SG and MY.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong proficiency in data analysis to drive strategic decisions based on sales metrics, consumer insights, and market trends.
  • Communication: Fluent in English (written and spoken); proficiency in Mandarin or Bahasa Malaysia is a plus.

Preferred:

  • Offline B2B Experience: Direct experience managing offline retail accounts, distributor networks, or wholesale partnerships, ideally in FMCG, consumer electronics, or lifestyle categories.
  • Trade Marketing: Experience developing and executing trade marketing programs or in-store activations.
  • Agency Management: Experience managing external creative, media, or PR agencies.
