Hybrid (Los Angeles metro area) | Full-Time, Exempt | $70,500–$72,000
The Television Academy (home of the Emmy Awards) is hiring a Manager, Awards & Membership to oversee awards submissions and membership operations for an assigned portfolio of peer groups. This individual-contributor role reports to the Senior Manager, Awards & Membership.
What you’ll do:
Awards Operations — Review Emmy submissions for eligibility and accuracy, coordinate screening/voting/judging panels, manage nomination data and certificates, and support the Primetime Emmy Awards, Creative Arts Emmy Awards, and Engineering Awards.
Membership Operations — Review and validate membership applications and eligibility, prepare findings for Governor review, and maintain accurate member records.
Committee & Governor Support — Support Peer Group Executive Committees, coordinate meetings and elections, and help shape awards/membership policies.
What we’re looking for:
- Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing high-volume, deadline-driven work
- Strong written/verbal communicator
- Sound judgment handling sensitive and confidential matters
- Proficient in MS Office; database/CRM experience a plus
- Flexible to work some evenings/weekends, especially during peak season (April, May, Aug, Sept)
What you bring:
- BA/BS preferred
- 3–5 years in awards administration, membership organizations, credentialing, or professional association management
- Entertainment/TV industry knowledge a plus
- Experience supporting committees, boards, judging panels, or volunteer leadership
