About the Role

We are looking for a confident, independent, and creative Social Media Manager to take the lead on the day-to-day delivery of organic social content for one of our major retail clients.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment, who understands TikTok and Instagram inside out, and who can turn trends, cultural moments, and data insights into high-performing content.

You’ll be at the heart of our social operation, managing strategy, content production, and optimisation, while working alongside a talented creative and production team. What You’ll Do

Strategy & Planning

Develop and manage monthly content calendars with marketing priorities

Translate strategic objectives into clear, actionable social plans

Identify opportunities for always-on, reactive, and campaign-led content

Keep content in tune with platform trends, audience behaviour, and brand tone

Content & Production Management

Brief and manage content creators to deliver minimum 3 pieces per week

Oversee content production from ideation to publishing

Ensure content is platform-native, engaging, and on-brand

Collaborate with creative and production teams to deliver both lo-fi and high-production content

Performance & Optimisation

Monitor TikTok and Instagram content performance

Analyse results to identify insights and opportunities

Continuously refine messaging, formats, and content approach

Contribute to weekly and monthly reporting with actionable recommendations

Client & Stakeholder Management

Act as day-to-day contact for the client Social Media Manager

Lead weekly check-ins and support monthly planning sessions

Ensure timely, high-quality delivery and clear communication with all stakeholders

Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including paid media agencies

Reactive & Trend-Led Content

Monitor platform trends, cultural moments, and emerging formats

Identify and execute reactive content opportunities quickly and creatively

Ensure content is culturally relevant, timely, and shareable

Community & Brand Engagement

Oversee brand voice and community engagement

Identify opportunities to build brand affinity and engagement

Maintain brand reputation across all interactions

Skills & Experience

3–5+ years’ experience in social media strategy (agency or in-house)

Strong understanding of TikTok and Instagram platform dynamics

Experience managing always-on social content and calendars

Ability to turn data into actionable insights

Experience working with content creators and production teams

Excellent communication and client management skills

Comfortable working at pace and managing multiple priorities

Desirable:

Experience in retail,

Experience with influencer / creator collaboration

Understanding of paid social integration

Knowledge of the Irish market
