VP of Global External Communications
Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Vice President of Global External Communications to lead the strategic planning and execution of the company’s worldwide external narrative. This high-impact role plays a critical part in shaping our reputation, increasing executive visibility, and strengthening stakeholder trust across diverse markets. The ideal candidate is a seasoned communications leader with a proven track record in managing media relations, crisis communication, corporate storytelling, and stakeholder engagement for a large, publicly traded enterprise or top-tier communications agency. Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field; Master’s preferred
- 20+ years of experience in external or corporate communications, including at least five in a leadership role within a global, publicly traded company or equivalent agency experience
- Proven success managing corporate and executive communications, media relations, and crisis management across multiple regions
- Deep understanding of financial communications, regulatory environments, and industry media landscapes globally
- Outstanding storytelling, messaging, and writing skills with executive-level polish
- Ability to influence senior leadership and collaborate effectively across functions
- Experience managing teams, agencies, and budgets across diverse geographies
- Strong leadership presence and strategic vision combined with flawless execution under pressure
Nice to Have Skills
- Industry experience in digital infrastructure, IT, data centers, or related ecosystems
- Experience developing social media strategies and leveraging digital platforms for corporate storytelling
- Familiarity with analyst relations and community outreach initiatives
- Fluency in additional languages or international market experience
Preferred Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field
- Over 20 years of relevant experience with demonstrated leadership in global corporate environments
- Background working within or closely with technology or infrastructure sectors
