Job Summary: Chandigarh University is seeking a creative and skilled Political Videographer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for capturing high-quality images and videos for various university events, promotional materials, and digital content. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong storytelling skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with faculty, students, and administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Photography:
  • Capture high-resolution photographs for university events, workshops, seminars, and student activities.
  • Document campus life, including academic programs, extracurricular activities, and community engagement.
  • Edit and retouch images for use in marketing materials, social media, and the university website.
  • Videography:
  • Plan, shoot, and edit video content for promotional purposes, including interviews, event highlights, and campus tours.
  • Collaborate with departments to produce video materials that effectively communicate university initiatives and achievements.
  • Ensure all video content aligns with the university's branding and messaging guidelines.
  • Content Management:
  • Organize and maintain a digital archive of photographs and videos.
  • Assist in the development of a content calendar for visual storytelling across university platforms.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the marketing and communications team to support various projects and campaigns.
  • Attend university events and activities to capture engaging content.
  • Equipment Management:
  • Maintain and manage photography and videography equipment, ensuring all gear is in good working condition.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Photography, Film, Multimedia, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in photography and videography, preferably in an educational or similar setting.
  • Proficiency in photo and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A creative mindset with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of lighting techniques and audio recording.
  • Experience with drone photography/videography.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and content trends.
