Job Description
The Video Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a small team of video editors who create wedding highlight films and extended documentary-style wedding films.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure on-time delivery of all video products from the team
- Ensure team members meet and exceed quality standards for video edits
- Maintain organized video editing projects to support team-based workflows
- Troubleshoot media and technical issues
- Complete other administrative tasks and projects as assigned by the manager
Performance Goals / KPIs
- Ability to facilitate weekly delivery of:
- 2 highlight films
- 2 feature-length films
- Highlight films:
- Emotional, music-driven films with a clear story arc
- Feature-length films:
- Documentary-style edits with artistic montages used to transition sections of the day
- Defect-free work, adhering to best practices in:
- Audio sourcing and leveling
- Color correction
- Output rendering
- Adherence to brand standards and guidelines for final output, including but not limited to:
- Image framing
- Titling
- Logo attribution
- Ability to troubleshoot common issues with video editing software and footage from professional and prosumer-level cameras
Leadership Essentials
- Clearly communicate and manage deadlines for priority projects as assigned by management
- Demonstrate a continued drive to expand skills in video editing and storytelling
- Work collaboratively within the team to improve overall output and mentor team members
- Understand and execute re-edit requests from management, leadership, or clients
Experience & Execution Essentials
- 5+ years of video editing experience using Adobe Premiere Pro
- 2+ years of team leadership experience
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite products
- Adobe Audition and After Effects preferred
- Strong understanding of codecs and video best practices
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to meet or exceed:
- Assigned KPIs and targets
- Quality benchmarks
- Delivery deadlines
- Monthly and quarterly individual KPIs and SOPs
