City News is searching for Indigenous journalists who are passionate about storytelling and the nuances of Indigenous experiences. You will be a critical voice in the newsroom, highlighting issues that resonate within Indigenous communities. This full-time role will enable you to produce, edit, and present news stories that inform and inspire.
Key Responsibilities:
• Produce engaging content across City News and 680 NEWS
• Research and interview to gather fact-based information
• Shoot and edit video segments from various sources
• Write clear, relevant news stories under deadlines
• Report live from the field and contribute to breaking news
Requirements:
• Experience covering Indigenous affairs
• Strong visual and written communication skills
• Ability to meet daily deadlines
• Clean driving record and valid license
• Availability for flexible shifts including weekends
