Pattison Media’s CFJC Newsroom in Kamloops is seeking to add a Video Journalist to our award-winning newsroom.
The ideal candidate will have a keen sense of curiosity and an ability to identify and develop stories. We are searching for an excellent videographer who can quickly identify the visuals needed to tell a compelling news story, can write concise copy, and produce and present their stories with creativity.
The successful candidate will have working knowledge of professional ENG equipment and will be able to step right in as a video journalist in a television newsroom. They will be expected to arrange and conduct interviews, produce daily news stories as well as more in-depth features on a wide range of subjects. They will need to work well individually and as a teammate in our newsroom.
Their role will include producing and presenting stories for television and online consumption.
The successful candidate will also be asked to spend a portion of their time supporting operations in CFJC’s television control room. Training will be offered if necessary.
