LOCATION Remote: preferred locations are Philippines, Colombia, Peru, Brasil, Nicaragua, Bolivia, Venezuela, Guatemala, Honduras, Paraguay, Nigeria, or Ghana

Hours: 8–15hrs/week (15+ if you bring additional skills to the table)

THE ROLE
An independent recording artist based in Los Angeles is looking for a Video Editor who loves music, has strong creative instincts, and takes initiative.
You'll receive raw footage and run with it: studying the artist's world closely enough to make editing decisions that feel native to her aesthetic. The more you bring to the table beyond editing, the more there is for us to work with together. At times, team-load dependent, you may receive detailed briefs from the Marketing Coordinator or Artist herself
U R THE RIGHT PERSON IF
You immerse yourself in an artist's world before you touch the timeline. You have a strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and what makes content stop a scroll. You're comfortable working with creative autonomy and you take pride in the decisions you make independently.
You've edited music or creative content before and have a portfolio that shows range and taste. You work inside organized systems and communicate clearly when you need something.
U R NOT THE RIGHT PERSON IF
You're still developing your editing style. You prefer a lot of structure and step-by-step direction. You've never worked in music or entertainment. You treat deadlines as flexible.
WHAT U WILL ACTUALLY DO
- Receive raw footage from shoots and produce polished, on-brand content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube
- Study the artist's existing content and aesthetic and use that as your creative compass
- Deliver organized files on agreed timelines
- If u bring any additional skills: graphics, motion, sound design, great!
TOOLS WE USE Asana, Google Drive, and whatever editing suite you work best in — tell us what you use.
WHAT THIS IS Freelance, part-time. Paid hourly. Direct access to the artist. Fast decisions, no layers.
WHAT THIS IS NOT A hand-holding situation. A vibe-only role.
