We are looking for a highly creative and fast-moving Video Editor & Clipper to support our growing roster of content partners and live streamers. This is a contract role suited for someone who thrives in internet culture, understands what captures attention, and can consistently turn live content into highly engaging short-form videos.
The Opportunity
This is not a traditional editing role where footage is handed to you with detailed instructions. You will actively monitor live streams, identify compelling moments, and transform them into platform-native content optimized for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
Success in this role requires strong editing skills, an instinct for viral moments, and the ability to move quickly without sacrificing quality. You will work closely with our social media team to pitch ideas, create engaging clips, and help drive organic growth across multiple creator channels.
This is a remote, U.S.-based contract position with an initial term of 2–3 months, with flexibility for extension or daily-rate arrangements.
What You'll Do
Content Clipping & Editing
- Monitor live streams and identify entertaining, memorable, or viral-ready moments in real time
- Transform long-form streaming content into highly engaging short-form videos
- Edit content optimized for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
- Incorporate dynamic captions, transitions, graphics, and hooks that maximize engagement
- Deliver polished content with rapid turnaround times
Creative Development
- Collaborate with the social media team to brainstorm and pitch content ideas
- Stay on top of platform trends, editing styles, and emerging formats
- Understand what resonates with audiences and continuously improve content performance
- Help maintain consistency across creator brands and channels
Platform Optimization
- Tailor edits to the unique requirements and audience expectations of each platform
- Apply strong storytelling principles to maximize watch time and engagement
- Select hooks, pacing, captions, and visual elements that drive organic reach
- Ensure content feels native to each social platform
Workflow & Execution
- Manage multiple creators and content priorities simultaneously
- Maintain an organized editing workflow and asset management process
- Deliver high-quality content consistently in a fast-paced environment
- Communicate proactively and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a professional video editor or content clipper within the live-streaming or creator ecosystem
- Strong understanding of short-form content and social media trends
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging, platform-native videos with strong pacing and storytelling
- Experience editing content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
- Excellent instincts for identifying funny, exciting, or viral moments
- Ability to work independently and deliver with minimal direction
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with tight turnaround times
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with streamers, gaming, sports, or digital entertainment content is highly preferred
Portfolio Requirement
