About The Role
We are looking for an experienced and commercially-minded Video Editor who understands how to create content that not only captures attention but also drives action.
In this role, you will take ownership of video creative across paid social channels, transforming founder content, user-generated content, stock footage, and b-roll into high-performing advertisements. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, contribute strategically during creative ideation sessions, and use performance insights to continuously optimise future content.

Responsibilities – What you'll be doing:
- Edit high-performing video advertisements for Meta and TikTok, typically ranging from 20–60 seconds.
- Develop compelling hooks and use pacing, storytelling, and visual techniques to capture attention immediately.
- Transform founder-led content, UGC, b-roll footage, and existing assets into engaging, conversion-focused creatives.
- Produce a variety of editing styles, from authentic lo-fi UGC formats to polished, premium brand executions.
- Source and incorporate relevant stock footage to strengthen narratives and enhance creative concepts.
- Proactively pitch new creative ideas, testing angles, and campaign concepts to improve performance outcomes.
- Collaborate remotely with production teams by providing guidance on shot lists, framing, and content requirements ahead of filming.
- Analyse campaign metrics including thumbstop rate, click-through rate (CTR), and cost per acquisition (CPA) to identify winning creative patterns.
- Participate in weekly brainstorming sessions alongside the Head of Growth and Social Media Lead.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality output and meeting deadlines.
Requirements – What we're looking for:
We think the right candidate will tick most of the following boxes:
- 3–5 years of professional video editing experience, ideally within paid social advertising.
- Previous experience working with consumer brands, D2C businesses, or high-growth startups.
- Demonstrated ability to create both UGC-style and premium brand content.
- Strong understanding of direct-response storytelling, audience psychology, and performance creative principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and CapCut.
- Familiarity with Meta Ads as the primary advertising platform.
- Excellent instincts for hooks, pacing, editing rhythm, and visual storytelling.
- Strong creative judgement with the confidence to contribute ideas around content direction and styling.
- A genuine curiosity about content performance and the ability to use insights to inform future edits.
- Comfortable working independently and delivering projects without extensive supervision.
- Receptive to feedback, highly adaptable, and willing to iterate quickly.
- Experience collaborating remotely with international teams, particularly UK-based stakeholders.
- Bonus: Understanding of narrative structures and storytelling frameworks used in direct-response advertising.
- Professional written and verbal English communication skills .
Work Schedule
As the client is UK-based, you will be required to work UK business hours:
- Monday to Friday
- 08:30am – 5:30pm UK Time (GMT/BST)
- 09:30am – 6:30pm South Africa Standard Time (SAST)
Pay & Benefits – What we offer:
- Annual salary: R264,000 – R308,000 per year
- Fully remote working environment.
