Role Description This is a full-time, remote Transcriptionist role. The Transcriptionist will listen to audio and video recordings from various creative and client projects and accurately transcribe them into clear, well-formatted written documents. Day-to-day tasks include transcribing interviews, meetings, voiceovers, podcasts, and creative sessions; applying correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling; and ensuring adherence to client-specific style guidelines. The role also involves reviewing and editing transcripts for accuracy, time-stamping where required, and flagging unclear sections or audio issues for clarification. Collaboration with project managers and other team members to meet deadlines and maintain file organization is essential.
Qualifications
- Strong transcription abilities, including excellent listening skills, fast and accurate typing, and familiarity with transcription software and tools.
- Proficiency in written English, with solid grammar, punctuation, spelling, and basic editing and proofreading skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy when handling names, technical terms, and time-sensitive content.
- Good time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a remote setting.
- Comfort with digital and creative environments, including using online collaboration platforms, cloud storage, and basic file management practices.
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion when working with client materials and sensitive information.
- Previous transcription experience in media, creative, marketing, or agency settings is an asset.
- Relevant training or education in linguistics, communications, media, or a related field is beneficial but not required.
