We’re now looking for a passionate and organised Tour Operations & Planner to join our growing team and help manage, plan, and optimise our one-day tours and multi-day trips across Japan.
Role Description
This is a part-time, mostly remote role for a Tour Operations & Japan Trip Planner based in Japan, with the possibility of transitioning to a full-time position. This person will be responsible for creating custom travel itineraries, coordinating tours and cultural experiences, and ensuring smooth trip logistics.
You’ll work closely with our team to ensure every tour runs smoothly and every guest has an unforgettable experience.
This role combines hands-on coordination, creative itinerary design, and local expertise.
Who you are:
- Passionate about Japan, travel, and creating memorable experiences
- Has previous experience working in Japan tourism, hospitality, and/or travel planning
- Eligible to work in Japan (visa sponsorship possible for the right candidate)
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to juggle multiple tasks
- Strong communication skills in English (Japanese is a big plus)
Your Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimise daily one-day tours
- Coordinate logistics for multi-day private and group trips across Japan
- Communicate with guides, drivers, suppliers, and accommodation partners
- Create and review tour schedules, pricing, and internal checklists
- Assist with itinerary planning and curation for customised trips
- Occasionally guide or assist with tours when needed
- Ensure high-quality guest experiences and operational efficiency
