Position: Summer 2026 – DG8111 – Digital Publishing – Instructor Posting

The base salary range for Contract Lectures hired August 16, 2025 through August 15, 2026 is $77,701.53 to $99,371.53 per annum. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications. Contract amounts are calculated based on the number of semester hours in the appointment.

Course Time:
Mondays from 11-1

This is a co-teaching 2/1 split.

This course will focus on strategic and novel topics and concepts in Digital Media which may include but are not limited to:
Ambient and Artificial Intelligence, Social Networking Analysis and Design, Social Media and its Framework Advanced Concepts in 3D Graphics and Visual Effects, Multimedia Syndication and Segmentation and Uni Communications in Multimedia Systems, and Information Security and Privacy.

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in digital content creation using industry-appropriate tools and software to create engaging materials.
  • Apply design principles to digital publishing to enhance the visual appeal and usability of digital content.
  • Strategically select and utilize digital publishing platforms, including understanding how to optimize content for different platforms and effectively use distribution strategy
  • Analyze and navigate legal and ethical issues in digital publishing, through the exploration of copyright laws, fair use, and ethical considerations in the digital publishing landscape, including key topics of accessibility and inclusion.
  • Incorporate and leverage emerging technologies in digital publishing, such as augmented reality (AR) or virtual reality (VR) to enhance overall engagement.

    Education
    PhD. or equivalent in field related to target course
    PhD (or equivalent)
    MBA or equivalent
    Terminal degree (PhD) in other discipline
    Master degree.

    Teaching Experience
    Teaching target or similar course at TMU graduate program.
    Teaching target or similar course at other university graduate programs.
    Teaching target or similar course at TMU undergraduate program or another university undergraduate program.
    Teaching target course at College.

    Practice field experience
    Current (past 3 years) practice in related fields 6-10 (depends on quality of experience, including relevance to course, level of responsibility, relevant professional accreditation, etc.)
    Past (more than
    3) years ago) practice in a related field.

    Currency
    Academic publications (refereed) in the past 5 years.
    Academic publications more than 5 years ago or current (less than 5 years) professional profile (including professional or academic presentations).
    Other demonstrated professional currency (practitioner writing, courses taken).
