Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Stage Hand to support the setup, operation, and teardown of events. This role involves working closely with technical teams to ensure seamless execution of events, requiring a strong understanding of lighting, decor, and scenery. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in event setup, including draping, lighting, props, and scenery. Duties
- Assist with the installation and disassembly of stage equipment, including lighting, sound, and video systems
- Manage cabling and wiring according to schematics and safety standards
- Support the event lighting setup
- Operate hand tools and mechanical devices for equipment assembly and maintenance
- Troubleshoot software issues related to lighting or sound control systems
- Conduct routine maintenance on technical equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with technical staff on system testing and troubleshooting during rehearsals and performances
- Ensure all equipment is safely secured and compliant with safety protocols throughout the event lifecycle
Requirements
- Proven experience or background in electrical work, telecommunication, or related technical fields
- Knowledge of E & I systems, low voltage wiring, and schematics reading
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, cabling, and mechanical assembly
- Ability to troubleshoot software problems related to stage equipment or computer hardware
- Strong understanding of maintenance procedures for technical equipment
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to stage setup and equipment handling
- Prior field service experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings or weekends as needed for event schedules
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on safety and precision in a dynamic environment
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
