Social Strategist

The Role:
As a Social Strategist within McCann Content Studios, you will be expected to be hands-on with client work, specifically developing and delivering strategic thinking with supervision from a strategy lead.
The role will be responsible for ensuring all agency outputs support the Brand’s position and ensuring client communications are developed using data & insights. Including cultural trends and leveraging community and business data to be as personalized as possible.

The ability to develop clear and inspiring creative briefs and conceive strategic blueprints for brand experiences is key.
What You Do:
Social and Content Strategy
- Staying up to date and obsessing over emerging trends in social media, culture, commerce, entertainment, politics, and technology to inform your work
- Proactively researching to support teams with briefs and strategies
- Consulting with our clients, creative teams, influencers and creators on the modes of content that best align with what people are seeking out on social media and crafting points of view on the type of content that is likely to succeed
- Developing campaign specific and evergreen content strategies that connect with culture and deliver on performance objectives – translating them to an actionable brief
- Staying ahead of trends, platform best practice and changes in consumer behavior
Measurement & Analysis
- Tracking and monitoring content performance daily and finding insights and optimizations that strengthen key metrics; social listening, audience building, and engagement analysis will be key skills for this
- Auditing social data and reviewing marketing and commerce, media data to look for trends
- Authoring monthly and quarterly reports that help sell stronger creative to our clients and internal teams
Audience & Connections
- Assisting with defining communities, fandoms and affinities and converting them into audience insights

Location:
McCann New York team members must reside in or be willing to relocate to the New York Tristate area unless otherwise agreed upon by their manager and McCann New York’s Human Resources team. McCann New York is a hybrid workplace with three days in-office per week.
Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $75,000 – $80,000. Salary ranges depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; the associated discipline market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
