About aCreative Studio
We're a Philadelphia-based social media agency that builds buzzing brand communities on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. We make short-form video that actually gets watched, for cosmetic dentists, plastic surgeons, restaurants, real estate developers, interior designers, and hospitality brands. We don't do cookie-cutter. And we're just getting started.
The Role
We're hiring a Social Media Strategist who lives and breathes short-form video. You'll own a roster of client accounts end to end: concepting, directing shoots, filming, cutting first passes, and handing off polished briefs to our editor to bring deliverables across the finish line.
This is a hybrid role based in Philadelphia. You'll split your week between our office, on-site client shoots across the Philly/NJ/tristate area, and remote work. Our clients are all over the country, so comfort with travel is a must. Expect regular domestic trips for shoots throughout the year (we cover travel costs).
What you'll do
- Build and own the creative video strategy for your client accounts
- Film on a company-provided iPhone at client shoot days (we aim for 15+ videos in a single day)
- Organize footage, cut first passes, and hand off to our editor with clear briefs and feedback rounds until deliverables are client-ready
- Collaborate with the editor on style, pacing, captions, and graphics so the finished product is on-brand every time
- Write SEO-optimized captions and scroll-stopping hooks
- Track analytics and iterate on what's working
- Stay obsessed with trends, new features, and what's breaking through on each platform
- Run client communication directly: recap calls, creative direction, shoot logistics, and analytics
You're a fit if you
- Have 3+ years creating short-form video content (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) that has genuinely performed (we'll want to see the numbers)
- Know how to write hooks using actual psychology: curiosity gaps, pattern breaks, intentional disruption
- Can edit confidently in Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro plus CapCut (1+ years in a professional editing environment), and know how to give an editor notes (we use Frame.io)
- Are a strong visual storyteller who can walk onto a shoot with a plan and adapt on the fly
- Have excellent written and verbal communication (you'll be client-facing)
- Can juggle 6+ client accounts, shoot days, and deadlines without things slipping
- Own a car and are ready to travel. Most shoots are in the Philly/NJ/tristate area, but our client roster is national, so you'll fly for shoots throughout the year (passport not required, but valid ID and willingness to travel domestically is)
- Live in the Greater Philadelphia area. This is a hybrid role with in-person shoots. Remote candidates will not be considered.
Bonus points
- Photography or video production background
- Experience filming with a DSLR
- Experience in any of our client verticals: dentistry, plastic surgery, law, real estate, hospitality
- You've grown a personal or brand account to meaningful numbers (we want to see your own work too)
Compensation & Perks
