Pay Rate: $20-23/hr
Location: Onsite – NYC
Schedule: 40 hrs/week, standard business hours with occasional nights/weekends
Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking a Marketing – Social Media Contractor I for a top media and entertainment client. This individual will support a portfolio of well-known food, home, and lifestyle brands by creating and optimizing social content that drives audience growth and engagement. The ideal candidate is a creative, detail-oriented social media enthusiast who thrives in fast-paced environments, understands platform trends, and is excited to bring compelling content to life across TikTok, YouTube, and other major social channels.
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Professional social media experience
- Deep knowledge of major social platforms (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, X, Pinterest)
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong writing, verbal, and presentation skills
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Passion for social media, pop culture, food, home, and lifestyle content
- Legal right to work in the United States
Plusses:
- Photo and video editing experience
- Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Premiere
- Experience using social and web analytics tools (Tubular, Facebook Creator Studio, Twitter Analytics, etc.)
- Experience working with media brands or entertainment content
- Comfort capturing live or native social footage
Day-to-Day:
- Grow and engage social media communities across Food Network, HGTV, and Magnolia platforms
- Support day-to-day operations of Food Network’s YouTube channel (video ingestion, optimization, organization)
- Create and publish engaging TikTok content aligned with platform trends
- Schedule social posts with strong attention to detail
- Write compelling, on-brand social copy across platforms
- Source and repost content from influencers and fans
- Monitor, moderate, and respond to social conversations
- Share community insights and flag risks or opportunities
- Review video content with a performance-focused mindset
- Track emerging social trends, creators, and new platform features
