Lost Barrel Brewing, an award-winning craft brewery located on a picturesque 70-acre horse farm in the heart of Middleburg, Virginia’s renowned Hunt Country, is seeking a creative and experienced Social Media Professional to help grow our online presence and showcase the Lost Barrel experience.
Since opening in December 2020, Lost Barrel has established itself as a premier destination for exceptional craft beer, hard seltzers, chef-driven cuisine, live entertainment, and memorable events. With a taproom, expansive porch, and scenic grounds, Lost Barrel delivers warm hospitality and high-quality experiences for guests, families, and the local community.
This part-time employee position requires approximately 15–20 hours per week, including occasional evenings, weekends and holidays as needed for event coverage. This creative, hands-on role is responsible for driving brand awareness, audience engagement, and event attendance through compelling storytelling, photography, videography, and digital content creation. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, visually creative, and experienced in social media strategy and execution.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy and content calendar for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn
• Create, schedule, and optimize engaging posts, Reels, Stories, and promotional campaigns using recognized social media management platforms
• Design graphics, promotional materials, menus, and visual assets for events and marketing initiatives
• Attend on-site and off-site events to capture photography, videography, and behind-the-scenes content
• Analyze performance metrics and continuously refine content strategies to maximize reach, engagement, audience growth, and event participation
• Collaborate with the leadership team, Executive Chef, Head Brewer, and Tasting Room Manager on content related to beer releases, food pairings, special events, and brewery experiences
• Support broader marketing initiatives, including email marketing and SEO-friendly digital content where applicable
• Utilize AI tools and technologies to enhance content creation, generate ideas, optimize captions, improve visuals, analyze trends, and streamline workflows
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of professional social media management experience with demonstrated results across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn
• Strong content creation, graphic design, photography, and videography skills
• Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint, or equivalent design tools
• Strong understanding of social media algorithms, analytics, and paid advertising strategies
• Excellent written communication, creative storytelling, and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects efficiently
• Flexibility to attend occasional evening and weekend events
• Ability to reliably travel to on-site and off-site events in the Middleburg area
• Must be at least 21 years of age
Compensation: $25 – $35 per hour (commensurate with experience, qualifications, and portfolio strength)
